FULLERTON LOSES CASABA PLAYOFF Fullerton HI boys basketball squad lost to Chino 28 to 22 in the semifinals for the So. Calif. championship game last evening. Fullerton was handicapped by absence of two of the best players thru sickness. Fullerton put up a strong fight but the winning team proved superior throut the fray. Chino casaba shooters were ahead 17 to 12 at the end of the first half. Dominquez and Timberland did stellar work throut. By this victory, Chino won the right to meet the victor of the Alhambra-Huntington Park battle. COMMUNITY PARLEYS WASHINGTON, March 9—Industrial and community conferences will be held in a number of cities, mostly in the south, under the direction of the Commission on the church and social service of the Federal Council of Churches, according to announcement made today. Conferences will be conducted at Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Kansas City. One has already been held in Norfolk. Chattanooga has asked for a meeting and plans are being discussed for holding conferences in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio later. It is probable that a series of meetings will be held in the southwest beginning at Pueblo and going as far as Sap Dlego. Dr. Worth M. Tippy, secretary of the Commission, will be accompanied by the Social Service secretaries of several communions. The plans besides calling for a set program, provide that addresses be given before luncheon clubs, labor tempules, chambers of commerce, social workers' councils, colleges and women's clubs. Among the topics will be: "The Social Program of a Seven-Day Church", "A Concerted Socian Program for a City", "Delinquents", and "The Organization and Administration of a Church Staff." Groff, deceased, amounts to approximately $5000, according to the inventory and appraisement filed today with the County Clerk. OWNS ORANGE CO.
