THE ORANGE COUNTY PLAIN DEALER, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
Games Again Where Open Abound
THIS IS THE TYPICAL CALIFORNIA COUNTRY—REAL, ROMANTIC AND OPULENT. THE GOLDEN SUN SMILES DOWN UPON A GOLDEN EARTH AND GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES BLOOM AS IF TO MAKE THE RECEPTION THE MORE, GOLDEN. SETTLERS EARLY CAME AND FROM THE GROUND BEGOT GOLDEN PRODUCTS. FROM THE SKY TO THE EARTH, IT IS A GOLDEN ATMOSPHERE, NOT OF GOLDEN METAL BUT OF GOLDEN THINGS FROM A GENEROUS EARTH. GOLDEN DAYS ARE AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THIS LAND AND WHO DO THEIR BEST TO PROMOTE ITS GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES. SPEND YOUR GOLD IN ANAHEIM AND REAP THE GOLDEN HARVESTS.

I can imagine no place that is more in need of competent and high class real estate operators than is Anaheim and Orange county. I do not mean to infer that there is now a dearth of conscientious and capable operators. I would rather have it understood that Anaheim is in need of real estate men that are both familiar with the city and the county and are equipped to take care of the requirements of the large numbers of people that are coming and will continue to come here to settle in this happy and prosperous land. That, by no means would exclude the high caliber and honest real estate man that comes here from other places—they are always equal to the job of meeting local conditions.

are both familiar with the city and the county and are equipped to take care of the requirements of the large numbers of people that are coming and will continue to come here to settle in this happy and prosperous land. That, by no means would exclude the high caliber and honest real estate man that comes here from other places—they are always equal to the job of meeting local conditions.
The real estate man has a most useful and commendable place in our business life. He is a bureau of information on lands, on homes, on rents, on business prospects, on down town buildings and on values. It is a life time study and no community could do without him. He answers thousand upon thousands of questions; he gives whole days of his time gratis; he is invariably a pleasant and intelligent sort of man, and believe me, he is being more appreciated every day.
In Anaheim J. T. Lyon Realtory Co. are distinctively representative of the type of real estate man our discourse has dealt with. Established in 1917; born of the ardent desire to promote the city and county; the personnel of the firm equipped with a varied and substantial knowledge of this city and district—this fine public service institution is making history for itself and Anaheim.
Messrs. J. T. Lyon and W. E. Duckworth are the partners in this big real estate business. Mr. Lyon has lived here since 1904.
When first coming here he turned his attention to ranching and after a few years at this endeavor, he sold out and went to Santa Barbara county, where he remained in the mercantile business for seven years. Mr. Lyons spent five years in the real estate business in Los Angeles where he was connected with the development of San Fernando lands. Mr. Duckworth is an old time resident of Anaheim, having engaged in commercial life here for some twenty years prior to his partnership with Mr. Loyn.
These are perhaps the most active operators in Anaheim; they specialize in sub-divisions such as the Monte Visita and Dolan tracts which they are now developing with rapid progress. They handle all kinds of realty deals; men our discourse has dealt with. They are experts on local and county information; they are probably the foremost factors in dealing in valencia or orange groves; and they are second to none in their field.
