LA HABRA WOMEN FOR SALE
GIVEN CLUB SITE
LA HABRA, Feb. 10.—(Spl.)
Given deem to property in La Habra Park Square for a new club house; the Woman's Club of La Habra discussed with great interest this project at the regular meeting held Thursday afternoon in the social hall. Six lots are in the plot which was given the club by the subdivision owners. J. H. Walker and John Beck and it is understood the club will maintain a park around the club house. It is the ambition of the members to erect a pretty club home and plans were laid to see it at $25,000 club house could be built. The meeting itself was interesting the program being about great men of February. A paper was read by Mrs. M. E. Garretson on "Great Men of February" and several selections from poets born in this month were read. After the meeting a short reception was held and refreshments were served.
That Governor Friend William Richardson will be a guest of honor at the charter banquet given on February 21 by the La Habra Kiwanis club are the present hopes of the committee on arrangements. The event will be held in Virginia hotel Long Beach as it is planned to have such a large number of guests no nearer place will be available, the committee reports. Between 600 and 1000 people is the number for which the party will be arranged. There will be a banquet and dancing later in the evening. Lee Henry of Pasadena, vice president of the international organization of Kiwanians will be another special guest. The program will consist of stunts by different clubs and a program of artist numbers. Tuesday evening of next week the local club and the wives will meet in the social hall for song practice and Thursday evening the program will be carried out in banquet style.
Semi-monthly picture shows of educational reels have been started at the LaHabra Grammar school, the rest being shown at the assembly room on Friday. The enrollment at the school is so large that the as-

Friday evening after the picture show the Epworth League had its regular business meeting and social.

GREEN FEED SAVES DAIRYMEN MONEY
Thousands of dollars will be saved dairymen in Orange-co alone year, owing to the plentiful supply of green feed. Contrary to last year, when cold weather ruined the grass, cattle will require less alfalfa and grain than usual. The latter has gone up considerably over 1922 at this time, according to J. G. Bichan, cow tester of the Orange County Cow Testing Association.
With the exception of the Delhi association, which has only 74 cows against the Orange County Association's 794, the latter shows the highest average weight of butter fat per cow of any in California, according to a bulletin made public today by W. M. Cory, assistant farm advisor. The figures are those of the western office, U. S. Department of Agriculture.
The county association's average is 35.5 pounds per cow and the Delhi's 38.9. The former had 246 cows, giving over 40 pounds of butter fat.
These figures compare with 19.8 average for the lowest association in the State.

Elaborate Program At St. Mary’s Church
A barbecue and elaborate program is planned at the dedication exercises of the St. Mary's Catholic church on West Commonwealth ave tomorrow evening. The banquet begins at 5 o'clock. The public is invited. A charge is to be made for the banquet.
One of the features of the evening is to be a dance by Johnnie Zorquines and Juanita Vigarri, Spanish dancers of the San Gabriel Mission play. There is also to be a solo dance by Miss Doiothy Dauser of Fullerton; and a gypsy novelty dance by the Misses Fern Gelissinger, Venita Robb and Buinadette Koch.

MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT ELECTION
A good deal of misunderstanding seems to prevail regarding the city extension election scheduled for tomorrow between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., by which it is planned to bring 237½ acres in the northerly and westerly sections of Anaheim district.
The complication arises because all eligible electors in the east and west Anaheim precincts have been sent sample ballots for this election. This was the only procedure possible on the part of the County Clerk because the district desiring to be taken into the city lies partly in eastern Anaheim and partly in western Anaheim precincts which include some hundreds of voters.
A map of the district will be in the hands of Fred A. Dyckman, inspector of tomorrow's election at the polling booth which is to be located at the dwelling house owned by C. Z. Vanderhorck, on the northwest corner of North Palm and West North Street, and only those who are legally registered for this election and who are residents of the district will vote.
OILMAN SUFFERS BURNS
S. G. Schofield, an employee of the Union Oil Co., was in the Fullerton hospital this morning, suffering from burns received on the Orange lease. The accident occurred while lighting a gas heater, and the pipe broke. The burns are not considered serious.

6-FLAT BUNGALOW ON NO. LOS ANGELES
Plans for the construction of a six-flat bungalow facing No. Los Angeles-st., built in the most modern and up-to-date manner, are being made by Joe Siegel of Anaheim, and his business associates, Sam Josephson of Long Beach, and B. Kelmanson of Anaheim, owners of the Pacific Salvage and Wrecking Co.
There is to be one garage for each apartment.
Apartments are to be completely furnished and let at a normal rental. Mr. Siegel said that the public is to be given the benefit of his experience in low rentals.
The approximate cost of the new building is $25,000. Plans are also being made to build a double-flat house on a side-lot in the Mills' Park driveway, to cost about $8,000. Mr. Siegel said that these buildings are assured and only await the completion of the plans.
Siegel came here first, then induced his friends to come here. Already they have invested $60,000 here in the Pacific Salvage and Wrecking Co. and other properties. This company opened last month. Mr. Siegel expresses great faith in the future of Anaheim.

NEW HOTEL MAKES NO DIFFERENCE HERE
Apartments of the New California Hotel, Fullerton, are about filled up, according to R. E. Durbin, manager who is well pleased with the showing the hotel has made so far in attracting guests.
The opening of the new Fullerton hotel has made up noticeable detraction from the number of guests at other hotels, according to a ment from the Hotel Valencia. The register of the Hotel Valencia keeps at par. Judging from the number of guests drawn to Anaheim, it would never be known that the California Hotel in Fullerton is in existence.
