BREA NEWS ITEMS
BREA, Jan. 27.—Last Tuesday evening's party given by the P.T.A. ladies at the Brea grammar school, was a most enjoyable one. Covers were laid for 75 and the tables laden with every thing to cat. A Jazz orchestra was present, and furnished the necessary music fitting for the occasion. Decorations in pink and green ferns after the dinner was served plays and stunts were put on by various folks. The school teachers joined in the fun, and it was a scream from start to finish. All wandering why we couldn't have such evenings oftener. It was strictly for the ladies of Brea and their friends. Much merriment and laughter kept up until 9:30 o'clock and everybody went home, feeling happy.
Mrs. and Mrs. W. B. Woodruff and baby were visiting friends in Maywood last Saturday night, Mr. and Mrs. O. Sadler.

Cut glass candle sticks, holding lighted pink candles were placed on each table, covers laid for fifteen, with place cards at each plate with the name on it—little favors of candy baskets with pink candy and the cutest of all was the minute candlesticks with the tiny pink candles. Brick, ice cream being served, with the birthday cake, following with toothplicks holding marshmellows toasted over these minute candles with the main lights turned out, gave a very beautiful effect. "Hudson performance is even greater than its beauty and refinement. You will immediately appreciate the immense reserve power of the super-six—its ability to accelerate quickly and smoothly in traffic, or in an emergency—you will be surprised how it climbs hills or runs through sand without a sign of difficulty—you will enjoy that satisfaction of uniform performance throughout a long day's travel—that 100 percent performance which the super-six gives you at all times, under all conditions, year after year. Those units which must function at all times to insure real performance, have been subjected to the test of many years, and foun worthy. The testimony of thousands and thousands of Super-Six owners in every part of the world is conclusive proof of this."
Ever Have Battery Charged in 12 Hours?
Even those familiar with the construction and the action of storage batteries thought this impossible a short time ago. The Chandleyson Electric Co., of St. Louis, manufacturer of this wonderful battery charging equipment that seems to do the impossible. In the past it has taken on the average of three to four days to fully charge a "dead" battery while this new equipment will "fully charge" any storage battery in good condition in twelve hours. Think what a saving this is in battery rental. A saving of hundreds of dollars to the people of Anaheim (taking all car owners into consideration). Many people have not had their batteries recharged in the past (on account of the expense), when a recharge would have added many months of service to the life of their battery. To use a battery when it is under-charged shortens its life although many motorists are not aware of this fact.
The Auto Electric Maintenance Co. have installed this new equipment in the fine new home. Anaheim now has the largest and best equipped battery and electrical concern in Orange county, wheeled one may drive in with plenty of room, absolutely no congestion, and real service. West Bros. invite each and every Anaheim motorist to call if onl yto prove that
