ENCAMPMENT AND REBEKAHS ENJOY SOCIAL EVENING
The local encampment of I. O. O. F. held installation ceremony just evening with Rebekahs and a few friends as visitors. The work was done by District Deputy Grand Patriarch Henry Mang and his staff in a most capable and impressive way. Odd Fellows from Santa Ana, Brea, Pullerton and even from distant states brought the number present to 210 men and their ladies.
After the new officers were seated all were invited to the banquet room above where a feast was prepared, spread and served by the men. Informal addresses were made by the prominent visiting officers and after the meal dancing was the entertainment of the remainder of the evening, with the Llewellyn orchestra furnishing the music.
The Encampment is anticipating a very prosperous year with greatly increased membership. Those holding the reins for the next season are chief patriarch, Frank Machleb; senior warden, C. W. Hedges; high priest, George Schouck; recording scribe, Henry A. Mang; financial scribe, E. B. Johnson; treasurer, Oliver Hill; junior warden, John L. Harris; guide, C. J. Mauerhan; first watch, Clarence Curtis; fourth watch, Lynch House; inner sentinel, J. P. Freely; outer sentinel, L. Struthman; guides of the tent, J. A. Morefield and H. A. Pla.

Class has Fine Meeting
The Myers Men's Bible class of the First Christian church held their regular weekly banquet and business meeting with a large number present and great enthusiasm was shown in the plans of the class for the coming season, and especially during the next few weeks, while the series of meetings are being conducted by Evangelist Vawter in the tabernacle on South Helena-st.
The entire class has pledged itself to Rev. Leon L. Myers the leader, and he is counting on big things during the time of the special meetings. As the church building is to be sold or wrecked at once a committee was appointed to look for a place to hold their mid-week meeting, at which time the meal, which is always some feed, is prepared and served by the men of the class.
Plans were made for an interesting meeting of the Bible Class Sunday morning in Bob White garage. It is expected to have some special stunts at the meeting together with special music and good singing, because "Jimmie" will be there to lead the singing, and the men know what that means. "Mack" will be there with his current event, and "Leon" will give the Bible talk and there are none better prepared for this task than he.
The class meets every Sunday morning at 9:30, and extend a cordial invitation to all men of Anaheim to attend the services and assist in the good work done by this class. You will find warm welcome and a healthy handshake.

An executive board meeting of the Orange-co Federation of Woman's clubs was held in Huntington Beach yesterday at which Mrs. Nellie E. Terry, Mrs. C. C. Smith, Mrs. H. C. Down and Dr. Bessica Rusche were present from Anaheim Ebell club.
Among the important matters discussed was the change of date for the annual meeting formerly held on the second Saturday in April. On account of conflicting dates, the fourth Friday in April has been chosen for future annual gatherings and through the invitation of the Yorba Linda Woman's club, Yorba Linda was chosen as the place of meeting this year.
A picnic luncheon was served at noon in the cozy home of the hostess club, with hot coffee served by the ladies.
Club Entertains Guests
The Bridge club meeting this week at the home of Mrs. Juratsch was enlivened with the presence of several guests, among them Mrs. M. E. Curtice, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Albert Gill. After a preliminary exchange of greetings and chat, the ladies settled themselves to their chosen game and played energetically, hardly realizing how time could pass so quickly when time was called for closing the games. Scores gave the first prize to Mrs. Probst and consolation to one of the visitors, Mrs. Curtice.
A two-course luncheon was served at the card tables, each one set with a pretty floral centerpiece and with covers laid for the Meadames Clark, Cole, Chandler, Dandy, Probst, Trapp, Shinn, Curtice, Gill and the hostess.

MR. MICKLE ON
76TH BIRTHDAY
Mr. FRED MICKLE, of 1233 West Center-st., had a birthday yesterday, he was 76 years young and he vows that "everyday, in every way he is getting younger and younger". He proved this when a party of his close friends had a surprise party for him, by being one of the jolliest of the bunch.
Mr. Mickle was closing his anniversary day with a pleasant game of solitary when the door bell rang. Mrs. Mickle, who was in the compracy, sent him to answer the door and receive the self-invited guests. After congratulations the company down to four tables of five hundred and played a number of rounds. Mrs. M. Nebelung won first lady's prize and Mr. Mickle first gentleman's prize.
The guests were then invited into the dining room where covers were laid for 16. A big birthday cake in pink and white with the twinkling tapers rivalled the fragrant center piece of white cut hyacinths in interest. A sumptuous birthday luncheon was served.
Mr. Mickle attributes his youth and happiness to his association for 39 years with Mrs. Mickle and both promise to be among "those present" for many years to come.

The girls were served a lovely dinner at 6:30, after which they were told they were to see "Manuvers of Jane" at the High School. The balance of the evening was spent at Miss Knepp's home in her spacious bedroom, talking, eating sandwiches and sweet stuffs, until slumber overtook them. An appetizing breakfast was ready for them this morning. Though the whole party was sleepy-eyed, nevertheless they all felt good and thanked Mrs. Knepp and her daughter, Dorothy, for the royal way they were treated.
