SCOUT TROOP TWO
ADDS TWO PATROLS
Troop 2, Boy Scouts of Anaheim,
from St. Catherine's school, has organized two more patrols of eight boys each, completing a full troop of 32 boys. The new patrols have selected Paul Waldhuvle, leader, and Joe Banish, assistant, of Stag patrol, and Clat Carricart, leader of Fox patrol, with William O'Hara as his assistant.
A new scribe was elected, John Escovado. A contest has been started among the four patrols with a hike, weinie bake or similar treat as the reward for the winner. The patrols getting the greatest number of points in good behavior, attention, most efficient in forming rank, with five points going to the one putting on the best play, will be declared winner.
Fox patrol now ranks highest in the contest, with Cougar and Eagle tied for second place with two points each. Leaders of these two patrols are George Russek and John Escovado.
John Shay is senior leader and Jack MacFaden, assistant. The boy are planning to attend in full number the court of honor to be held Jan. 19 in Anaheim.

FIRST AND SECOND IN PICKFORD MOVIE
In the first place, Mary Pickford is starring in "Tess of the Storm Country," for the second time in her illustrious career. When she first made her appearance in this epochal film eight years ago, it won her such unanimous applause that she was recognized immediately as the foremost exponent of the silent drama.
This same old version also attracted the first international attention to the late Harold Lockwood, who was Miss Pickford's leading man and the result was, he became a prominent star in his own right soon afterwards.
In the cast supporting "America's Sweetheart" in this second production of Grace Miller White's greatest story are Lloyd Hughes and Gloria Hope, man and wife, and this is the first time they have ever played together in the same picture. Mr. Hughes is playing the role created by the lamented Lockwood while Miss Hope has the important part of Teola Graves.
This is the first time John S. Robertson ever directed Miss Pickford, but his services in this directorial capacity were not obtained until after a second attempt, because he was under contract with Famous Players-Lasky and was obliged to reject the offer with all due reluctance at first. However, when in the second attempt Miss Pickford made a request personally, Jesse Lanky rearranged his production schedule so as to permit Mr. Robertson sufficient time to preside over the megaphone until "Tess of the Storm Country" was completed.

WILL ROGER'S ROPE ALWAYS BEHAVES
Everybody knows who Will Rogers is and everybody knows about his educated ropes. Tonight at the United Theatre for the last time admirers of the strange art of the famous cowboy comedian will have the chance of seeing the star and his ropes featured in Patricia's comedy, "The Ropin' Fool."
To give a little inside information on the comedian himself, he is never without those ropes, whether making a picture featuring them, or not. As soon as he is off the stage, or off the set, Rogers picks up his ropes and practices. And consequently, he knows his ropes.
In "The Ropin' Fool" Will Rogers does every possible feat for a cowboy to perform, and lassoes a rat with a small piece of string for good measure. The following is a list of the many stunts the cowboy comedian actually does before the camera—and in slow motion, so that each move is easily detected.
Throws a rope out past a galloping horse so that it will roll back and catch him.
Throws a rope over horse and rider, catching the horse by all four feet.
Lassoes a rider by the waist without the rope going over his head.
Puts the horse and rider through the loop and catches the horse with the same loop coming back.
Throws a lasso clear around from behind a horse and catches him by the front feet from the opposite side.
Throws a figure eight over the horse's neck and on all four feet.
"A Bdwy. Honeymoon" at Fairyland Theater
"Going to the 'opery house' tonight?"
"Yep. Goin't' see Frank and King Comedians!"
The above question and answer refer particularly to the clever dramatic company which opens its initial Anaheim engagement at the Fairyland tonight.
"A Broadway Honeymoon" will be the featured attraction today and tomorrow. This is strictly built for laughing purposes, and it is predicted that this play will be a regular riot.
This will be the first time that Anaheim has enjoyed a regular dramatic stock company at any of the local theatres in several seasons. It will be remembered by many that both the Frank and the Kings were here before with the original Murphy's Comedians.
The personnel of the Frank and King Comedians is one of the most remarkable things about this unique organization. The entire cast has been together over two and a half years without a single exception. All of the performers are finished actors and actresses, and the brand of plays offered are really worth while.
Between the acts high class vaudeville will be presented, making the evening's entertainment enjoyable to say the very least. The curtain is scheduled to raise tonight promptly at 8 o'clock. Of course, popular prices only will prevail.
