FUTURE BRIDE GIVEN SHOWER OF LOVELY GIFTS Miss Ruth Coons, who will become one of Anaheim's young matrons about the middle of January, was honored last evening by Miss Alice Grimshaw and a large company of friends with a miscellaneous shower. A golden and green color motif was artfully used by Miss Grimshaw, gold hearts being suspended from the elec-trailers and cleverly used in many ways. "Hearts" was the game of the evening, broken hearts being deftly meeded, whole hearts grouped, and hearts treated in many other ways, all for happiness. Miss Coons was initiated into the Sorority of Housewives, and given an apportment of dressed clothespins, recipes and last, but not least, a big box of miscellaneous gifts to grace her new ranch home. The box was tied with a huge white tulle bow, and "decorated" with an old shoe for luck. Just before the presentation, luncheon in two courses was served, the guests being the Mesdames R. L. Coons, Mrs. George Fletcher, mother and mother-elect of the honoree; Dale Hamilton Evans, Lulu B. Garrison, Flyod Curtis, Lyman Davis, Robert Hainlin, Arnold R. Enocard, W. T. Wallop, Walter J. Receive Radio "Date" The ladies of the Martes club have a date" for Saturday evening at 5:10, when they are expecting a radio from Catalina to set a definite time to receive a call from a young man resident of the popular island.
