YOU CAN'T START ANY YOUNGER THAN JIGGS AND CORNED BEEF CHORUS SHOW AT UNITED THEATER If there is anyone in Anaheim who doesn't know "Jiggs," it is anyone who has not laughed at Margie's strenuous cave-man tactics in "Bringing Up Father," the series of cartoons b. George McManus which have been sharing the newspaper reading public for the last few years; if there is anyone who enjoys the snappy, invigorating atmosphere and the songs, dances and jokes of musical comedy, let him go to the United Theater Sunday night and see and listen to "Jiggs Musical Comedy Revue and His Corned Beef and Cabbage Chorus." If all the advance heralds are to be believed, there is a real treat in store for everybody when this big company of entertainers make their initial bow in this city. The company comes direct from a long season over some of the best vaudeville circuits of the east, and is made up of ten high class artists who can really sing and dance. They present a comprehensive revue of the latest popular hits of the musical comedy successes of the past season, and their repertoire of dances is said to include everything in the range from a snappy clog to the most artistic classic dances. The "Corned Beef and Cabbage Chorus" is made up of pretty girls plentifully provided with beautiful and lavish costumes and are said to be decidedly easy to look at. The comedy situations, the jokes and gags are new and go over with a snap and dash that is very pleasing, according to our informant. The "Jiggs Musical Comedy Revue" will give an entertaining program of almost an hour's duration in conjunction with the usual excellent bill of pictures. DOUNGER TO BUY REAL ESTATE IN THE FAST GROWING PET CANINE KILLED BY DOG POISONER The flend in human form known as the pet animal poisoner is active in Anaheim in the neighborhood of Zeyn street, according to Oscar T. Conklin, who reports the poisoning of "Nippy" the pet dog in pit bull terrier purchased one month ago for the Conklin son and help. According to Mr. Conklin, the animal was seldom allowed out of the enclosed yard in the rear of the house at 514 Zeyn street. After lunch Thursday, the dog was out around the neighborhood for a few minutes, returned to the house and serached the screen door leading to the kitchen, when Mrs. Conklin found the animal in violent convulsion. A veterinarian was called, but the animal had taken enough straychnine to kill an elephant, according to Dr. Callicotte, who made every possible effort to save the animal. "Of course the person who caused the dog's death may have been innocent of attempting to kill our dog," Mr. Conklin said, "but even at that whoever he or she be, or she must have a conscience similar to a piece of leather, else, if one is able to take on a charitable view, the person must be insane. Anyone who would be the cause of violent death of a friendly pet dog certainly must be a person with a dethroned mind." I hope everybody in the Zeyn-st neighborhood will guard their pet animals against the treachery of the person who killed our baby's playmate."
