A large Christmas tree was beautifully laden with decorative motifs. Each member of the force was given some gift as a joke and this caused much merriment. Dr. H. A. Johnston was presented with a magnificent traveling box as a token of appreciation from the happy party and in turn each guest was presented with a little announcement saying they would be presented with a bonus check on New Years day. They were given small baskets of nuts, dates candy and all the other delicacies of the season. One of the clever members of the force read a little rhyme about each of the guests. The decorated Xmas tree will be given to some poor family today as a Xmas gift from the clinic. Pleasant Motor Journey Mrs. C. J. Maddux and son, Ben Maddux, accompanied by Mrs. Maddux's nephew, Charles McCaully, from Idaho, but who is attending but who is attending business college in Shata Ana, were recent visitors in San Fernando and other points. The auto trip was especially pleasant to Mr. McCaulley, whose Idaho home is little like Southern California. The room was pretty indeed with its dress of Christmas greens and a beautifully decorated tree. Two drills by the girls of the school in which 14 and 16 respectively participated, were termed wreath and wand drills. The girls were tastefully gowned in white wearing fairy wings carrying wands and presenting a delightful picture. The drills were under the direction of Mrs. Raney and Miss Lewis, teachers, and were perfectly enacted. The comic playlet, "Finnegan's Flat," brought down the house with its laughable situations and the excellent rendition of each part. Miss Iia Crowe, as Finnegan, won greatest applause. Finnegan's wife, Isabel Dunn, was close second in her character. Margaret Flannigan, as Miss Neversmile, Leo Fender, as Prof. Bato; Anna Marie McDuell, as Mary, gave excellent support. Ardis Hill as Dan Dooley, the Irish policeman, Luelia Thorman, as Mrs. Goodheart and Stanley Schulte, as John the chauffer, completed a cast that displayed real dramatic talent. The primary grade had a pretty playlet. The Evergreen Tree, and solos, choruses and recitations made up a fine program. Santa Claus visit, wherein treats for the children were presented, concluded the entertainment. The identity of Santa remains a mystery, but he was the counterpart of the merry old man, and distributed his cheer without partiality. Jolly Club Party A lively party consisting of boys and girls of high school age living in Cypress, was held at the home of Miss Florence Trapp last evening. Eleven of these young folk have organized a club, but even after concluding it is in charge of M. E. Simona and the purpose of the fund is by each member pledging one cent or more a day to secure a savings fund so that as soon as the time and opportunity presents itself that the church may secure a building site. Jolly Club Party A lively party consisting of boys and girls of high school age living in Cypress, was held at the home of Miss Florence Trapp last evening. Eleven of these young folk have organized a club, but even after considerable thought and discussion, a name quite good enough has not been found. The Christmas spirit was expressed in the decorations, a tree with twinkling lights, and holy being used. After games and music the boys and girls went to the kitchen where they had loads of fund popping corn. This with light refreshments, was enjoyed later. Members of the club are the Misses Roberta and Blanche Cawthon, Marjorie Cutter, Lucy Abblainalp, Florence Trapp and the young Messrs Claude Preston, Charles Ree, Raymond Musser, Harry Hollingsworth, Jack Barnett and Wilton Abplanalp. The same lively young people are planning a watchnight party to be held at the home of the Misses Cawthon. Parents Visiting Cailors Mrs. O. T. Callor is one of the happiest women in Anaheim today as her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Glick, of Corey. Indiana, arrived last evening to pass the remainder of the winter at the Cailor home. As this is the first meeting between the parents and their daughter in 20 years their joy can be imagined. Tilley, also of Indiana, but who is teaching in the Pasadena schools this winter.
