Hanson, shooting his first time with the locals, was high gun of the match with 581 while McGaugh shot high single game, 204.
All of the Anaheimers shot over the coveted 500 mark and are still holding first place in the league with 21 victories and only three defeats.
Tonight Ernie Dugas will lead his Whittier team to town to try and obtain revenge on Bill Payne's team from the Studebaker shop. This will be the first appearance of Harry Rileys fast bunch on the Alleys this season.

NEW YEAR'S GAME TICKETS ON SALE
PASADENA, Dec. 14.—Sale of seats for the Tournament of Roses "East and West" football game Jan. 1 has started, having been prefaced by the sale to permanent seasholders under their seat contracts. Each holder of a permanent seat in the new Tournaments of Roses stadium—now called the Rose Bowl—was entitled to purchase as many additional seats as the holder held of permanent seats and practically all permanent seasholders availed themselves of this opportunity.
There are now some 55,000 seats in the Rose Bowl, which is about 15,000 more seats than the old grand stand at Tournament Park would ever accommodate. This makes the Bowl one of the largest in the country though its full seating capacity is not yet reached by a good many thousand, as at least 20,000 more seats could be constructed if desired.
Prices for the New Year's Day football game this time are $1.65, $2.75 and $5.50 with a few box seats at little higher. There are about 10,000 of the $1.65 seats, the price being $1.50 plus war tax. There are 20,000 of the $2.75 seats, that price...

MERCHANT MARINE COSTLY
France has found its governmental merchant marine so costly that it is to be disposed of to the highest bidder. The books show a deficit of 1 billion francs. During its disastrous period of government control, vessels costing 27 million francs were rented at 5 francs yearly. The administration discovered that 600 million francs were due the fleet from various persons and has recovered this amount. The ship subsidy plan is an old scheme and has usually if not always led to disappointing results.

"ONE WEEK OF LOVE"
AT THE CALIFORNIA
"One Week of Love," which comes to the California theater tomorrow will be a rare treat for all, but most of a treat to those who have been writing, begging, and cajoling the Selznick Pictures Corporation to play Conway Tearle an Elaine Hammerstein together in one picture. Ever since these two popular players achieved fame and fortune in the world of cinema, Mr. Lewis J. Selznick has been searching for a story in which he might employ their combined talents. At least ten thousand manuscripts passed through his hands before he finally picked Edward J. Montague's "One Week of Love" as the final choice.
Here is a story that employs a kick in every foot, rising steadily to the champion climax of the last ten years. It is a glorious battle between a "Sheik of the Sierras" and a Society Queen, the Crude vs. the Effete, and in the end both are winners. You will love the "Sheik of the Sierras" more than any Sheik you ever saw; for he is a white man through and through, who speaks with deeds and not with rolling eyes. Who but Conway Tearle for this part?
As the Society Queen who flies as high over the western mountains as she does the effete drawing-rooms Elaine Hammerstein is unquestionably at her charming best. A girl who was as much at home guiding an aeroplane is guiding a social career was necessary for the role, an actress who combined red and blue blood, who could dance the latest steps at social functions and climb with those same dainty feet the most difficult mountain passes.

MASON FINDS MANY FRIENDS WITH HIS TRAINING STUNTS
The announcement that Billy Darnley, matchmaker of the local "Palais de Swat" on the sugar factory grounds, has again booked that rough, tough customer Kid Mexico, to feature in the main event Friday, appears to have met with the approval of the big majority of the local sporting fraternity.
Many fans felt put out at the showing of the Huntington Beach idol last Friday but he is out to redeem himself when he clashes with Chicago Jackie Mason tomorrow night. In meeting Mason, Mex will undoubtedly have his hands full for he is going up against a boy like himself, a rough and ready mixer with a large wallop. Mason has been working out daily at the arena and has made a host of friends who are going to back him strong to beat the beach town pride.
According to the way Mason has worked out and the class he has shown in his training stunts, as well as his record which appears to be A-1, Mexico, is in for an artistic trimming. That, however, is not bothering the beach town boy in the least for he figures to dispose of Mason just as easily as the rest of 'em. It is bound to be a whale of a battle as both boys are determined to win and in as short order as possible. Huntington Beach is coming up strong to root for Kid Mexico.
For action, the semi-windup between Sailor Bob Waltman, a former Anaheim boy but now doing service on the good ship New Mexico, and Paul Wilkins, better known to Oklahoma fans as the "California Kid" and who holds the bantamweight championship of that state, is going to be hard too beat. Here are two lads fast and clever and each is known to be a hard hitter. Darnley figures this go to be the star one

Jack Dempsey has the idea that he is a wrestler. There has been much talk of a mixed bout between Jack, as champion pugilist, and Ed (Strangler) Lewis, champion wrestler. Jack says that if such a bout is arranged he may try and beat Lewis at his game.
Jack wrestled a good deal in his younger days, and might get by with good wrestlers, but he is including a lot of territory when he is taking on the champion of the world. If Jack ever gets into the ring with Lewis, he had better limber up Iron Mike, while he is altogether and not fool away any time trying Lewis out at the wrestling game.
Lewis defends his title of world's wrestling champion tonite against the former world's champion, Stanislaus Zbyszko. This will make the fifth meeting of the two. Zbyszko is the oldest in the game and is still a great man.
There are dark war clouds looming up on the baseball horizon. The two major leagues are fighting to enlist the old draft rule whereby they may line up the minor league stars for a small sum.
This paying $75,000 to $100,000 for minor league stars that stand a good show of being filivers in the big rush, is getting the big guns all riled up. On the other hand, the minor leagues are getting paid for developing stars.
Willie Kamm brought $100,000 to the San Francisco Seals and a years back, Hal Chase, the greatest star ever to be sent up from the coast, brought just $150 under the draft rule. So it is a pretty safe bet if war does break loose, it's going to be a bitter one.

SIR THOMAS TO TRY AGAIN IN TWO YEARS
NEW YORK, Dec. 14.—The precedent of a lifetime was almost broken, the traditions of a sportsman nearly shattered by Sir Thomas Lipton today just before his departure aboard the White Star liner Homeric for England.
A cameraman was training his machine on the genial owner of the Shamrock as he stood talking to friends on the promenade deck when his valet appeared on the scene and noticed that inevitable yachting cap, without which Sir Thomas has never been photographed, was missing. "James" made a flying leap for his master's side and whispered earnestly in his car. The cameraman was held up until the valet hastened to the stateroom and procured a cap — then the snapshot was permitted.
Sir Thomas, recovered from the serious illness which has delayed his departure for some time, reiterated his determination to make a fresh attempt to lift the American cup in 1924, and said that he would begin work on a new yacht on reaching England. He intimated that the boat would be "another Shamrock."
Watchman is Life Saver "Just To Spite 'Em"
I save their lives just to spite 'em, says J. A. Ferris, watchman at the Baker street crossing of the Southern Pacific. Ferris has as firm belief in the natural tendency of mankind as the patrolman who guards Brooklyn bridge probably has.
My nerves have broken on this job," said Ferris. "Car after car I just succeed in stopping before they plunge right in front of trains that are coming. No wonder I get mad. What are you trying to do, knock the train off the track?" I yell at em. "Don't you see this red flag?"
Then likely as not they'll look sort of white around the gills and say, 'My Gawd, I never saw you,' or I didn't realize that train was so close.' I tell you, they seem to come onto the crossing like they were in a trance, without watching where they are going at all."—Bakersfield "Californian."
The reported shortage of winter vegetables indicates that husbands will receive their usual apportionment of Christmas cigars.
FULLERTON PLANS GREAT XMAS TREE
Preparations are being made in Fullerton for a big community Christmas celebration. A large tree has been obtained from the Chapman ranch by J. G. Suepelt, city park superintendent. It will be elected and trimmed by the city and decorated and lighted several nights prior to Christmas. The lights will be furnished by the So. Cal. Edison Co.
Mrs. Emanuel Smith, president of the Ebel Club, reports almost 1500 Christmas bags coming principally from the different church organizations and the W. C. T. U.
E. G. Smith left last night over the Santa Fe for Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Gladys Rowland is sick.
Mrs. W. H. Fowler and baby of Fullerton went home today from the Fullerton hospital.
"FLYING SWITCHES"
In one of the American yards in France the general yard master, a lieutenant (one of several that went overseas with a very small knowl-
was done, and piles of bricks which were carefully removed without breakage, are still on the site of the wall. No lots are yet for sale.
The royal owners of the wall now demand that it be put back. If they win their suit they will compel the "xandals" to reconstruct the entire broken section.
More than 200,000 horsepower will be obtained by a Swiss hydroelectric plant from a dam built at the foot of a glacier.
Then likely as not they'll look sort of white around the gills and say, 'My Gawd, I never saw you,' or 'I didn't realize that train was so close.' I tell you, they seem to come onto the crossing like they were in a trance, without watching where they are going at all."—Bakersfield "Callfornian."
