You Can’t Start Any Younger WISE AND WITTY Hunting for a new way to do nothing is the popular pursuit of “real” society. When a crowd gathers, you can generally find most of the no-accounts in town there. It isn’t much to anyone’s ear who is too lazy to do anything either good or bad. When seeking favors from a man, be sure to brag about the color he painted his house. Something to eat, something to wear, something to read, something useful to do, someone to love—this is the formula for happiness. Much happiness is overlooked because it doesn’t cost anything. To enjoy anything thoroughly, you have to ease up on it before you exceed your natural capacity. Success looks bigger while you are chasing it than it does after you catch it. No one can be either great or right much more than a quarter of the time. The real hustler hustles with his head, the activity of his body being purely incidental. Those who work because they like it are better workmen than those who work because they have to. You can afford to waste a lot of politeness because it doesn’t cost anything to carry a complete assortment of it. Turkish situation is about the same, except the names are looking more familiar.
