ANAHEIM IS A CITY OF SOME EIGHT THOUSAND PEOPLE, BUT IT HAS THE STRUCTURE AND ADVANTAGES TO REPRESENT A POPULATION OF TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE. THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE—YOU CAN BUY HERE AS YOU CANNOT BUY ELSEWHERE, BECAUSE YOU ARE PAYING FOR MERCHANDISING VARIETY BUT WITH A LOWER OVERHEAD. TRY COMPARISONS AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS IS GOSPEL TRUTH. YOU ARE NOT ASKED TO PAY FOR GREAT CITY RENTS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR ELABORATE OVERHEAD—YOU GET YOUR MERCHANDISE IN ANAHEIM AT A COST THAT ALLOWS ONLY FOR A BASIC MERCHANDISING EXPENSE.

Fred H. Schneider's Sanitary Market
MEATS THAT ARE NICE TO EAT
Do you remember the old time butcher shop where such little attention was paid to sanitation, where meals were not kept in refrigerators and where all of the meat was scattered about the shop, without cover and without protection from insect life. Electric fans were unknown, sanitation was not an art, meals were handled indifferently and the odors of the butcher shop were not exactly conducive to the desire for a hearty meal.. Of course that condition existed many years ago, but it did exist and I mention it only to arrive at a comparison of that day and the present time.
How forcibly the contrast was brought to my mind as I stayed and talked to Mr. Fred H. Schneider of Fred H.
How forcibly the contrast was brought to my mind as I stayed and talked to Mr. Fred H. Schneider of Fred H. Schneider's Sanitary Market. Mr. Schneider is the dean of Anaheim butchers and thanks to him the public has profited greatly by his long experience and his thorough knowledge of sanitary matters as they pertain to the butcher shop. Mr. Schneider is now operating the best type of modern, sanitary market. Look about you in his splendid establishment if you would compare the old-way with the new. To begin with there is that outstanding keynote of cleanliness. The big ice chests keep the meats in wholesome and freshly condition. There is the refrigerator plant, that boon the modern butcher's shop and the friend of humanity. Class cases with refrigerating system contain the meats and no foreign substance or other thing from the air will come into contact with it. The modern butcher is a most conscientious man and he has the interest of the public at heart. Your meat is invariably fresh, the service is prompt and courteous. There is no long wait as in the old days, it is a well organized business and the public are sensible of the conscientious treatment they receive at the hands of the up to date butcher.
Fred Schneider has lived in Anaheim for the past twenty-eight years. For nineteen years he has been engaged in the butcher business in Anaheim, first, in the employ of others but of late years in business for himself. His brothers are butchers and they have been trained under the master butcher of them all. He has watched the evolution of the butcher shop and he has followed the best means of serving the public with wholesome and fresh products. His own shop is a model establishment and he is there during every business day of the year to maintain that high standard of efficiency that has marked his public service from the beginning.
