PRETTY WEDDING
OF INTEREST TO
MANY ANAHEIMERS
THE wedding of Miss Helen Robb,
granddaughter of Mrs. M. O.
Kellogg, of Ball-rd, to Mr. Edward Denton, occurred in Balboa on a recent date, and was a very pretty affair. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Robb, the guests being the immediate relatives. Attired in white satin Canton crepe, trimmed with Spanish lace, and carrying a large bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern, the bride looked lovely. She had no attendants.
After the ceremony the entire party drove to St. Ann's Inn, Santa Ana, where a 6:30 wedding dinner was served. The young couple then left for San Diego for a honeymoon after which they will go to their now home in San Francisco.
Mr. Denton is chief quartermaster in the navy, stationed at San Francisco. His parental home is in Ohio. The bride was born in Anaheim, but with her family moved away when she was small, altho she has made frequent visits to the Kellogg home and with other relatives here, keeping up her acquaintance with many Anaheim young people.
Among the wedding guests was the grandmother, Mrs. Kellogg, who, despite her 90 years, was one of the merriest of the company, and it was with legendary interest she secured the bride's bouquet. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robb, parents; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Finley, Glendale; Fred Robb, El Monte; the Misses Dora, Minna and Orilla Robb, South Pasadena; Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Hartzell, Mrs. Rachael Clark, both of Anaheim; Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Robb, of South Pasadena, and Miss Grace Hunt, of Los Angeles.
Evening Around Campfire
A jolly party of Anaheim people were guests last evening of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ross at Sunset Beach. A huge bonfire was made and the guests sat around this and roasted their weinies and devoured them with the other goodies. Marshmallows were toasted and thoroly enjoyed. Campfire stories were among the other features and all had a most pleasant evening together. In the party were Mr. and Mrs. Glen-Rakke.

Our shop is over flowing with new styles. We invite you to see them. Gowns are decidedly long and draped. No more decisive change in styles has been recorded in a score of years, waist lines are universally low. Colors are confined to Navy Brown and Black but there are some half dozen, new silk materials, Twills and Tricotines have retained and are very much in favor.
Coats fairly exude luxury, soft and caressing materials some plain and fur trimmed, styles are loose and comfortable.
The perfect workmanship in our smart tailored suits you will appreciate I am sure. The serges are plain and unadorned with exception plaits, belts and fancy buttons. The fabrics are Tricotines, Twills and Cardines.
Every model worth-while from the view point of Vogue and Value.

Evening Surprise Call
Mrs. Alberta Andrews was given an enjoyable surprise last evening when two auto loads of relatives and friends drove to her home. Mrs. Andrews, having had a strenuous day, had retired, but hastily responding to the calls from honking horns, she joyfully welcomed her guests. An evening of chatting mixed well with a little music, after which light refreshment was served.
Composing the company were Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Eaton, of Santa Ana; Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Eaton and Miss Emma Neighbors, their house guests, who are here on a motor visit from San Francisco; Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Eaton, Mr. and Mrs. V. Barrows, Miss Ellis Blackburn.
Preceding the ceremony Miss Julia Carol sang "O Promise Me." To the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march the bridal party entered the church and took their places before the altar-which was beautiful with its decorations of orchid and pink flowers, with intertwining streamers of greenery.
Down one aisle came the best man, Percy Watkins, followed by the groom. On the other side the minister, Rev. Carrol, preceded the bridal party. Miss Julia Carrol and Miss Mona Weeks in dainty dresses of pink taffeta with picture hats and carrying pink sweet peas, were followed by Miss Irene Jacques of Anaheim, as maid of honor. Miss Jacques was very pretty in an orchid organdy with coral trimmings, orchid hat of horsehair braid and bouquet of pink rose buds and maiden hair fern. The dainty little Hower girl, Jean Chance, two-year-old niece of the bride, strewed rose petals in the path of the bride.
The bride, a very attractive blonde was adorned in a handsome gown of white satin with a lace over drape. Her silken net vell hung in train length and was caught in her hair with a corner of orange blossoms. Her only ornaments were a beautiful rope of pears and a platinum brooch set with diamonds, gifts from the groom. Francis Knapp, father of the bride gave her away. The bride carried a large bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.
Following the ceremony Miss Carrol sang "O, That We Two Were Maying." Wedding reception was held in church parlors and the bride cut and served the huge wedding cake made by her sister.
Assisting in the serving were the bride's two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Chance and Mr. Dave Curwin.
With a good sendoff from the guests at the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Lawless left for a two weeks' honeymoon trip to Big Bear Lake. Mr. Lawless is a prominent business man of Fellows, Calif., and the young couple will make their home. For the past year Mrs. Lawless has been living with her parents in Los Angeles. Prior to that she was a teacher in the Katella school and lived in Anaheim on East Broadway, where she made a host of friends who extend their hearty congratulations to the newly wed.
The guests from Anaheim were Misses Irene, Dorcas and Easter
