(Spl.)—Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Warren and family left on Thursday for a four days visit at their mountain home at Strawberry Flats. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Whitzell motorized to Modjeska's home on Wednesday. The Ladies Aid Society of the Congregational Church met at the home of Mrs. Herbert Bixby on Thursday afternoon. The ladies sewed quilt blocks during the afternoon and at the close of the meeting the hostess served delicious refreshments or ice cream, cake and punch. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bassel moved into the Bixby cottage on ninth street on Saturday. The Ritter bungalow just vacated by the Bassel's has been rented to a family who just arrived from Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Porter of Fullerton were dinner guests at the J. B. Robison home on Thursday evening. Many Planning to Show at $100,000,000 Products Exposition With a half dozen cups, many special prizes, and more than $2000 in cash and ribbons offered, prospective exhibitors at Orange-co Fair are alert and planning their part in the $100,-000,000 products show which opens Wednesday, Sept. 27. The accompanying picture shows Artist Win Smith's conception of the fair and prizes which are offered. Fruit exhibitors are advised that fruit should be placed in storage at Taylor's warehouse, 1644 E. Fourthst. Santa Ana, stating it is for fair purposes, storage charges to be paid by the fair committee. Harlowe Halliday, placed on the job by the farm bureau, is working among the various farm center fair committees' and helping them with suggestions and enthusiasm for their displays. Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Griminger and family and Miss Genevieve Meranda were visitors at Newport Beach Friday. Mrs. Koontz and family have returned home after a weeks vacation at Newport Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland and family have returned to this lease after a few months at Mt. Shasta. Purdy of No. Harvard-ave. took out a building permit yesterday for a $10,000 residence. Mrs. A. S. Redfern with two daughters, Doris and Phyllis, and mother, Mrs. C. A. Kryder, have returned from a trip thru Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walton of lower Calif. are visiting at the Seale home. Jack B. Reeves of Fullerton who is spending the summer at Balboa Beach is expected back this after noon. He is in ill health, and is to be brot home in an McAuley ambulance. "BACK TO BACK" A. A. Mills reported to the local police that he was involved in an accident while backing out from the curb opposite the postoffice.
