DUNTON DISPLAYS
NEW FORD TOURING
The new model Ford touring car today was placed on display at George Dunton's agency. The principal departure from recent deliveries is an inclined windshield and a one-man top. The latter excludes the supports formerly beside the front seat.
Dunton reports business excellent. Seven orders were taken Tuesday.
Dunton and members of his sales force, R. R. McDonald, C. E. Bacon and A. C. Tapscott, will attend the industrial exposition in Los Angeles tonight.
CYPRESS NEWS
CYPRESS, Sept. 7.—(Spl.) The Cypress Farm Center met at Centrallia hall last evening with a fair attendance. The Center's display at the County Fair, to be held in Santa Ana, Sept. 27, to Oct. 3, was discussed. Much interest was manifested and the display is bound to be a success. Dr. Bigham, of Anaheim, gave an interesting explanation and discussion of the proposed 20th amendment which will be voted upon at the coming election. Miss Flagg and Mr. Reams, of Los Angeles, debated the Water and Power act, both having their subjects well in hand. After adjournment plates of Concord grapes, donated by C. S. Cox, of Cypress, were served.
G. G. Priddy returned Monday from a short hunting trip in Ventura county, during which he bagged a nice two-point buck.
Quite a crop of local "freshies" will enter the Anaheim high school this year. They were over to sign up yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Miller and two children are passing two weeks at Anaheim Landing.
Mr. and Mrs. H. La Rue enjoyed Sunday and Monday at Ascot, Ont.-Alina.
William Huhn was in a mixup with "Lizzie Ford"; and is carrying its arm in a sling as the result.
BUENA PARK
BUENA PARK, Sept. 7. (Spl.)—Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Warren and children returned on Tuesday evening form a three months motor trip through northern California and Canada. They report a wonderful trip and covered 5000 miles, seeing some beautiful scenery. At different places on their trip they meet home folks including Richard Nelson, Charles Robinson, Mr. and Mrs' R. C. Cauthon and Mrs. May Feagan.
The Ladies Aid of the Congregational church will entertain with an ice cream social on Friday evening.
Leland Weaver returned on Monday from a week in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jaynes of Santa Ana were guests over the week end at the I. D. Jaynes home.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Brady of Fullerton visited with Mrs. Andrew Bassel on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Childers and son, Eugene, with Mr. and Mrs.' R. W. Bracken and Mrs. Lew Covert of Kingfisher, Okla., spent Monday at Long Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Simpson attended the California theater on Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Meyer and daughter, Ruth, were guests of Mr. and Mrs.' E. W. Gage at Costa Mesa on Sunday. Sunday evening they went to the California theater to see "Blood and Sand."

1178 books were loaned during the month of August, 67 applications for library privileges, 69 magazines, and the library open 27 days for the month. This is the report of the Librarian, Mrs. H. N. Garretson, La Habra people are justly proud of the showing made by the free County library, for the past ten months.
The total applications for privileges has been 365 and the young people have a place to spend a couple of hours in the evening that would otherwise be spent on the street.
Miss Ruth Peabody was the recipient of a delightful surprise on Saturday evening. With a friend, Miss Fern, of San Fernando, they were the guests at dinner of Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Smith. In the vening the J.O.C.class of the Community church, with Miss Beatrice as engineer, gave Miss Peabody a farewell party Miss Peabody who has taught in the local grammar school for several years leaves to take up her duties in the city schools at San Fernando.
