NEW HABERDASBERY
WILL OPEN FRIDAY
McCloskey's a new haberdashery and clothing shop at 219 W. Center-st which will open Friday, will make up in quality what it lacks in size. P. H. McCloskey, the proprietor, has been associated with his father's stores in Illinois and Nebraska must of his life, and for two years has been with Buffum's department store in Long Beach.
McCloskey is carrying several nationally known brands of cothing and furnishing goods. He has just got back from the east where, by paying cash, he was able to obtain excellent prices for quality goods, of which the public will be given the benefit. One of his lines for men is Sincerity clothes, which his father and he have been handling for 35 years. Two pairs of pants are given with boys' suits, which are tailored the same as men's. Boys' goods in fact are a specialty.
The shop has been completely renovated for McCloskey' occupancy, with new chandeliers, new show cases, etc., while the place has been entirely re-painted and re-tinted. New show windows have been constructed, also. The proprietor claims it is teh best-lighted place in the city, and it looks as if it might be.
In fact, the place looks so attractive already, that McCloskey has had many calls for trade, but had to wait until he got his license.
Remember, Friday is the day of opening.
