THE ORANGE COUNTY
MABEE TRAINS FOR
BIG SANTEL CLASSIC
(By Sargum Sprout)
ROY Mabee starts training today for his match with Ad Santel, light heavyweight champion of the world. Roy will do all his training in the local Elks gymnasium.
In his recent match with Hackenschmidt, Roy had overtrained. He had worked so hard that he lost the snap he usually feels. In training for the coming match Roy will be very careful not to overdo. He is down to weight so the coming grind will be a matter of conditioning; road work enough to develop wind and just enough wrestling to harden down to physical perfection and keep the tricks of the trade well in hand.
Mabee is going to be at lris very best when he steps on the mat with Santel. He has waited several years for this opportunity and is not going to leave any stone unturned to be the "perfect Mabee."
Anaheim fans are surely fortunate in having the privilege of witnessing such a wrestling classic. It will be one of the greatest matches ever put over in So. Calif. Arrangements are not yet complete, but everything possible is being done to make the match a grand success. It is hoped that by tomorrow the Plain Dealer will have heard from Santel and that the date and place can be definitely announced.
FAST CITY BOWLING LEAGUE PROSPECT
Prospects are bright for a fast city bowling league this fall, reports Ernie Dugas of the Anaheim Bowling alleys.
"There will be at least eight and possibly 12 fast teams," says Dugas. "Anaheim will also have an Ace team in the So. Cal. League, a B team in the Merantile tnd a C in the Junior."
Among the city league teams now forging are the First National bank with Lawrence Muchenthaler, captain; Fullerton with "Migthy" Johnson, captain; Santa Ana with Bill Gordon, captain; and Silver Moon cafe with Bill Karam, captain.

DELHI OFFERS SIX FAST BOUTS TONITE
Tonight is the big night over at Boyd Ellis' figh shanty at Delhi. The management has arranged an excellent looking program of nifty bouts. Six of 'em, fans—count 'em. Old reliable Kid Mexico, and Sailor Larry, the ebony-hued scraper from down San Diego way, hook up in the main attraction at 158 pounds. It ought to be a dandy scrap. O. Swall tangles with Paul Stanley of Los Angeles in the semi-windup at 145 pounds. In the preliminaries, plenty of action seems assured for there is some good material on the bill. Hank Gatten will mix with Harry Loe of Huntington Beach at 148 pounds, Paddy Dillon and Sally Salvadore try conclusions at 128 pounds while Al Fredricks and Young Terry meet at 138 pounds. Pack O'Farrell and Willie White raise the curtain at 128 lba, at 8:30.
Krook radium supply in Jachymoy, Czechoslovakia, will last 20 years.
LEONARD King was down from Los Angeles Monday on a visit with his father, C. H. King.
Garden Grove was practically deserted Labor Day, a large number of the town's population enjoying the day at the mountains or nearby beachse.
Work is progressing nicely on the S. S. Jackson bungalow on Acacia and Third St.
O. A. Kolb and wife are enjoying a week's vacation at Sequoia this week. Their son has been looking after business at the pool hall during Mr. Kolb's absence.
J. A. Knapp and family enjoyed Sunday and Monday at Balcony where they visited the Martin Christensen family who have been spending the summer there.
The F. H. Felber and P. N. Larson families spent Sunday and Monday at Camp Baldy. They report a fine time.
C. H. King visited relatives in Los Angeles Monday.
Marchs Larson is erecting a five room house on his half acre walnut ranch purchased of P. N. Larson a few weeks ago. The building will front on eighth street. O. C. Larson, a brother of Marcus, is doing the carpenter work. Several other houses are to be erected in this five acre tract in the near future.
J. M. Clark was released from the hospital last week and has returned to Garden Grove. His friends here are glad to see him able to be about again.

A STEADY INCOME
Along with a peaceful, joyful home is indeed something to
plan and look forward to.
It is not everyone who can go right out and purchase
a bearing, income orange grove and home, but there are
many who could, if they would, make a payment on a
young orchard and see it grow, as their own, into productivity, larger value and income, making their future payments from their present business earnings and eventually
having a grove worth many times more than what it may
be had for today.
Have us tell you about two beautiful young groves we
now have to sell on easy terms and at less than their
actual value. One is 7½ acres at $10,125, the other, 6½
acres at $8,437. The two together would make 13½ acres
at $18,562 and we can arrange reasonable terms, also to
care for them at a nominal charge until such time as you
will be able to do so yourself.
Do not besitate to learn more about this splendid property from us. We assure you of our sincerity and desire to
help you acquire your future income home.
