Players Meet Thursday
Fullerton Community Players askn. will tender their new director; Thomas Askin, a reception at the Fullerton H. S. club rooms. Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Askin will announce the title of the play next to be produced. All officers and committee members are urged to be present. All vacancies will be filled at this time and any official's absence will be considered unwillingness to serve.
The association needs new candidates for membership and any one having the ability to act or who cares to learn are asked to join the association. All members are asked to be present.
Arrive from Kansas
Mrs. J. G. Schaeffler and twin daughters, Martha and Ida, have arrived from Hillsboro, Kansas. They will be guests of Mrs. Schaeffler's sister, Mrs. Dan Granada. Miss Lydia Herbel accompanied the girls—son and two other boys are en route to California by motor. Mr. Schaeffler has been here for several months. Over the week-end, Mr. and Mrs. Granada took their guests for a long ride over the various pleasure resorts of Orange-co.
Dr. Doescher Goes East
Rev. F. H. Doescher leaves Sept. 18th for Chicago, where he will join Mrs. Doescher and her sister, Mrs. Lydia Freu, who have been visiting Paul Doescher, student of medicine at Northwestern University, and other relatives. From Chicago they will go to Dayton and Akron, Ohio for a visit with sons and then to Detroit, where Rev. Doescher goes as a delegate to conference of the Evangelical Association.
Back From Vacation
After closing a very successful summer course in piano and cell training at her studio the first of August, Miss Luna Wellman spent a pleasant vacation at home and at the beach. She opens her studio for the fall term this week.
Miss Wellman, a member of the faculty of the College of Music at U.S.C., returned in June from a year of study in New York City, where she was a pupil of the famous pianist, Ethel Loginska.
She will devote two days a week to her work here and will be at her studio, 114 S. Philadelphia-st on Wednesday and Friday of this week to meet those who wish to reserve time on her schedule for the coming year.
Picnic at Balboa
Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Clark and daughters, Helen Louise and Marjorie, Mrs. H. C. Rulek, Mrs. A. Rimpau and Stephen Rimpau motorized to Balboa yesterday in the new Jewett sedan of the Clarks! At the beach they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Eward Olmstead and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rimpau and children. Together a picnic dinner and all around good time was enjoyed.

Dr. Doescher Goes East

Enjoy Family Reunion
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Duckworth and children, Mr. and Mrs. William Duckwork and son John, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Tedrick and daughter, Mrs. Emma Duckworth and George Findley motored to Long Beach to Bixby Park where they were joined by relatives from neighboring towns at a family reunion. Dinner was enjoyed in the park and later the crowd, numbering about 50, went on the plike where they enjoyed the various amusements.

A merry party of Anaheim relatives motored to Orange-co. Park yesterday where they spent the day. At noon a picnic dinner was enjoyed. In the crowd were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lehnen, Miss Elizabeth Lehner, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Osborne, Misses Virginia and Marie Noll and Katherine Volz, John Volz, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volz.
Weekend at Lakes
A jolly quartet composing Harold Gliss, Earl "Duke" Degryse, Elmer Berdrow and "Hoots" Mattis left late Saturday evening for Big Bear Lake, going up the control road. On Sunday morning they visited with sisters of Earl. They left Monday for home via the Mill Creek, stopping over at Little Bear.

Camp at La Jolla
Motoring down the coast towards San Diego Saturday, a jolly dozen of Anaheim and Santa Ana folk camped at La Jolla Saturday evening. Early Sunday they left for San Diego and there visited the different points of interest. A trip was also made to Tia Juana and Coronado. The return was made Monday evening.
