Councilman Stock stated that with the increased importance of the Five Points as a business center there was demand for a garage and wanted to know what other trustees thought of amending the garage zone ordinance to permit it. He said an almost unanimous petition could be secured from property owners for considerable distance about the Five Points.
Councilman Gates said: "We had better keep the garage zone ordinance under lock and key and avoid further trouble."
"What is being done to enforce the ordinance against those two outside garages?" he continued.
Saunders is making arrangements to move into Presell's blacksmith shop south of the postoffice as soon as he can build another smithy near it. I don't think he should be prosecuted, now that he is quitting," said Trustee Stock.
"As to these other fellows on So. Los Angeles-st., they are not bothering anyone, are operating on their own property and no one has ever complained, so I don't think they should be mocked until complaint is filed," said Mayor Stark.
"I think we should either enforce our ordinance or take it off the books," said Gates.
City Atty. Weisel, who has done some valiant work in cleaning the decks of the vast amount of legal work he found on taking the office two and one-half months ago, requested a week's absence. He plans to go deer hunting. Bond attorneys this week approved a 150-page abstract prepared by Weisel on the sewer bonds.

MODERN COOLING
EQUIPMENT PLEASES
The Ben Baxter family, living about one and a half miles northeast of town, are thoroughly enjoying a new food cooling equipment called the Frigid Air. The apparatus is a miniature ice plant, arranged inside of what appears to be a beautiful ivory refrigerator, with nickle handles, etc. Three draws divided into tiny compartments, contain cakes of ice which may be removed and used about the table at convenience. Immediately the tray re-fills and freezes. The mixed ingredients for ice, ice cream and all frozen dishes are placed in the receptacle and freeze with no further effort.
The Frigid Air is operated by electrically attached to any plug about the house, and is the only one in Anaheim. It was demonstrated at the Valencia Orange Show in 1921, and is a most convenient home-equipment, and will grace the new breakfast room now under construction at the Baxter home.
It's nice to comp in a spot having the requirements, but it's better to camp early and experience real comfort in one that is not close to a bubbling spring, has not plies of firewood lying near at hand, and where spruce trees for beds do not grow behind every rock.
Thursday evening intercessory prayer meeting, 7:15.
All are cordially invited to attend these services.
