NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSals FOR THE DOING OF THE WORK.
IN THE MATTER OF PAVING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ROADWAY OF NORTH CLEMENTINE STREET AND SOUTH CLEMENTINE STREET IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
Pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 159 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim adopted by said Board of Trustees on the 27th day of April, 1922, pursuant to statute, and to a resolution adopted by the said Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of August, 1922, directing this notice; said Board of Trustees invites sealed proposals or bids for the following street work to be done in accordance with plans and specifications for said work posted and on files therein.
First. That the roadway of North Clementine Street in said city from the southerly property line of West Cypress Street, produced westerly across the roadway of North Clementine Street to a line produced westerly across the roadway of said North Clementine Street, said line being parallel to and forty-four and seventy-five hundredths (44.75) feet northerly from the center line of West Center Street (excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway of North Clementine Street lying between the north-ery and southerly property lines of West Charitres Street produced westerly across the roadway of said North Clementine Street), be graded to the official grade and paved with hydraulic concrete base, and with asphaltic wearing surface.
Second. That the roadway of South Clementine Street in said city, from a line produced westerly across the roadway of said South Clementine Street said line being parallel to and diagonal southerly forty-four and seventy-five hundredths (44.75) feet from the center line of West Center Street to the north-ery property line of West Broadway Street produced westerly across the roadway of said South Clementine Street (excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway of said South Clementine Street lying between the north-ery and southerly property lines of Oak Street produced westerly across the roadway of said South Clementine Street also excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway of said South Clementine Street lying between the north-ery and southerly property lines of Oak Street produced westerly across the roadway of said South Clementine Street lying between the northernly and southerly property lines.

Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the provisions an Act of the Legislature of the State Of California entitled: "An Act to provide for work upon streets, avenues, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities upon property rights or way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities upon property rights or way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities upon property rights or way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities upon property rights or way owned by municipalities
improvement and all proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and in accordance with an act of the Legislature of the State of California, an Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof and providing a method for the payment of such bonds," approved April 7, 1911.
All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a check payable to the City of Anaheim, certified by a responsible bank for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent of the aggregate amount of the proposal or by a bond for the said amount, so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the said amount, over and above all statutory exemptions. Sale proposals or bids are to be delivered to the undersigned City Clerk of the city, at his office in the City of Anaheim, on or before eight (8) o'clock P.M. Thursday, the 14th day of September, 1922.
