MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 1922 LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: SECTION 1. That on the 27th day of July, 1922, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim passed and adopted its iteolution of Intention No. 162 to order the following described street work to be done in said city, to-write: Trust North Zeyn Street in said city be opened and extended from the northerly line of West North Street to a point three hundred thirty and seventy-five hundredths (330.75) feet northerly therefrom; also from the north line of West La Palma Avenue to the southerly line of North Los Angeles Street. SECTION 2. That the land deemed necessary to be taken for said work and improvement is situated within the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 14, Bellafry Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 12, Page 22, Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County, California; thence southerly parallel to the weaterly line of North Los Angeles Street $30.75 feet to the northerly line of West North Street; thence easterly along said northerly line $53 feet; thence northerly parallel to the weaterly line of North Los Angeles Street $30.75 feet; thence westerly parallel to the northerly line of West North Street $53 feet to the place of beginning: Also: Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 1, Babing Sub, as shown on a map recorded in Book 7, Page 22, Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County, California; said point being 18.69 feet easterly from the southwesterly corner of said Lot 1; thence northerly $105.54 feet to a point on the northerly line of Lot 2; said point being 10.75 feet westerly from the northwestern corner of said Lot 2; thence easterly along the northerly line of said Lot 1, $76.32 feet to a point; thence southerly $64.83 feet to a point on the southerly line of said Lot 1, which is $73.56 feet easterly from the said southwesterly corner of Lot 1; thence westerly along said southerly line $54.87 feet to the point of beginning: That said Board of Trustees did their specify the exterior boundaries of the district of lands which said Board of Trustees therein determined and declared to be affected and benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly line of West North Street with the easterly line of North Lemon Street and running northwesterly along said easterline of Lemon Street and its extension across La Verna Street and La Palma Avenue, to its intersection with the southerly line of North Los Angeles Street; thence southeasterly and NEW TODAY WE HAVE $1500 to loan, ph. 720. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance to an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "An act to provide for closing out, extending, widening, straightening, or closing up in whole or in part, any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose," approved March 6th, 1889, and all acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto. It is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 162, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall in said City. PEARS SENT TO LONDON LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14.—Marking the inauguration of trans-oceanic perishable fruit transportation between Southern California and Europe, the Holland-American refrigerator steamship Eemdyke will leave Los Angeles harbor on Wednesday, laden with 2500 boxes of fresh Bartlett pears from the Victorville district. The shipment of pears will be consigned to London, and will be followed by another shipment of 3500 boxes of the same fruit on the Royal Mail Steam Packet giant motorship Lochkatrine, early in September. BUENA PARK BUENA PARK, Aug. 14. (Spl.)—Mr. and Mrs. S. Middleton were very pleasantly surprised when Mr. and Mrs. James Doyle and children of Mineral Wells, Texas, drove into their yard last week.
