Statom, pastor of the Fullerton Presbyterian church, occurred last evening when a reunion of a class of boys which he organized in 1912 was held, and a smile that won't come off is the result. With an original membership of thirteen, the class has increased to an even two dozen, all told, but many changes, of course, have been noted on the class roster. From a bubbling bunch of characteristically awkward lads to mature, intelligent and fine specimens of manhood, has been the progress of this organization, known as the Arena club. Some of them have married, and the wives were entertained by Miss Alice Statom in the manse, during the hours of the banquet and reunion. Later, the wives were introduced one by one and given a rousing greeting. The club promoted and built the present club quarters on the ground Can Fruit; Benevolent Use Tomorrow is canning day for the ladies of the White Temple. It will be a day of happy activities, as the ladies will gather at the kitchen in the basement to can fruit to distribute among the David and Margaret home, the Deaconness' home and the Methodist hospital in Los Angeles, and other organizations in which the denomination is interested. Many of the members have fruit which they cannot use, and the Home Missionary society will purchase the sugar needed. This is but one of such busy days as will come up during the fruit season, and plans are made to prepare several barrels of the fruit and jellies. Anyone having fruit of any kind which they cannot use will be conferring a great favor to donate it to these energetic women for this use. Collation After Games Mrs. R. B.
