LIVELY K. I. CLUB
THE K. I. Club, which may be the "Kome In" club, to judge from the hospitality shown by the members, and the jolly good times they have, held another of their pleasant parties Monday evening at the home of the Misses Leda and Rachel Brawley, near Fullerton. Among those attending were several elder relatives of the members who turned time backward for the evening and enjoyed the games and music thoroughly.
Five hundred and hearts were played for some time, then interest was turned toward music. Mrs. H. A. Dalaney and Miss Julia Albertson sang a duet, "Smillin' Thru," with Mrs. McIlhaney at the piano. Miss Albertson's solo, "Absent," was a number also greatly enjoyed.
At a late hour refreshment of ice cream and cake were served. Those present were Mr. an Mrs. H. A. Delaney, Mrs. N. B. Albertson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brawley and Mr. Charles Brawley, Sr., the Misses Hazel Warfield, Julia Albertson, Lucille Leda and Rachel Brawley, the Messra Warfield, Ray Brawley and Charles Brawley, Jr.
Building New Home
Mrs. J. Zeigler is anticipating the joy of a fine new home now under construction on the lot adjoining her present residence, 209 North Clementine street. The house will be an eight-room building, modern in detail with the latest in interior finish.
Two bedrooms will be on the second floor, the others on the ground floor. Large porches will give the out-of-doors hour a charm. Mrs. Zeigler is giving her new home much personal attention, watching carefully its progress to learn what added conveniences, if any, may be included in the plans.
Eagerly Await Regatta
Eyes of the wives as well as the officers of the Newport Yacht club are turned to the week of August 6 to 12 when society women of the Southland will be guests of the club at its regatta to be held during that week, the ladies being official hostesses, assisted by all the women of the club.
A program of enjoyable social affairs has been planned and the club house will resemble a wonder land with the bright togs of the women, the gay umbrella sun shades up and down the coast, and flags by the hundreds flying to the breezes. Prizes will be awarded in the women's water sports and Tuesday morning Duke Kahanamoku, world famous water-bug, will give exhibitions of swimming and surf board riding.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons the women will watch the race from the steam launch, Laissez, a comfy and pleasurable craft owned by E. D. Burge, of Santa Ana.
According to announcement, yacht dress will be proper for all regatta occasions.
Conclude Visit Here
After a visit of two weeks with her brother, C. W. Hedges and wife, Miss Emma Hedges, and Mrs. Caroline Dierks left yesterday for the Yosemite park. They will also stop in San Francisco, Portland, Ore., and Seattle. The additional journey to their home in Lincoln, Neb., will take them to Boise, Idaho, for a visit, rounding out more than weeks en route from California to their destination.
This is the first time Mr. Hedges and his sister had met in a number of years and the time passed here was filled with unusual pleasure.

The classes scheduled include hours for juniors, girls under fourteen years; intermediate girls, employed girls and women; Wednesdays and Fridays being their very own days; Play-ground hours for Juniors are from 9 to 10 on these two days; with swimming hours from 10 to 11.
The intermediate girls have the hours from 1:30 to 2:49, playgrounds and 2:30 to 3:30 for swimming. Employed girls are given the time from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., and the women from 10 to 12 in the mornings and from 2 to 4 in the afternoons.
Equipment for baseball, volleyball and many other games is of best kind, and those unable to swim may report to the secretary for instruction. A new cement floored dressing room 18x15 feet is now under construction which will be an added convenience soon available.
