LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK
NOTICE IS REQUIRED GIVEN:
Section 1. That on the 12th day of July, 1922, the board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim passed and adopted its resolution of intention No. 43 to order the following described street work to be done in said city, to-wit:
That all four alleys be laid out and opened in said city from the southery line of Lot 8 and Lot 9 of Block "B" Villa Tract, in said City of Anaheim, to the northerly line of Lot 7 and Lot 10 of said Block "B."
Section 2. That the land deemed necessary to be taken for said work and improvement is situated within the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is described as follows: to-wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 7 Block "B" Villa Tract; as shown on a map recorded in Book 14, Page 44 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence easterly along the northerly line of Lot 7 of said Block "B" 7.5 feet; thence southerly parallel to the westerly line of said Lot 7 and parallel to the westerly line of Lot 8 and said Block "B" 8.53 feet to the southerly line of said Lot 8; thence westerly along said southerly line and along the southerly line of Lot 9 of said Block "B" 15 feet; thence northerly parallel to the easterly line of said Lot 9 and parallel to the easterly line of Lot 10 of said Block "B" 80.54 feet to the northerly line of said Lot 10; thence westerly along said northerly line 7.5 feet to the place of beginning.
That said Board of Trustees did therein specify the exterior boundaries of the district of lands which said Board of Trustees therein determined and declared to be affected and benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, as follows: to-wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 7 Block "B" Villa Tract; as shown on a map recorded in Book 14, Page 44 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence southerly along the easterly line of said Lot 7 and along the easterly line of Lot 8 of said Block "B" and along the easterly line of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 7 Block 2 West Broadway Tract; as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, Page 44 of Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County, California, 419.65 feet to the southerly line of said Lot 7; thence westerly along said southerly line and along the southerly line of Lot 14, Block 2 of said West Broadway Tract, 230 feet to the westerly line of said Lot 14; thence northerly along said westerly line and along the westerly line of Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of said Block 2.
RETURN FROM 4500 MILE MOTOR TRIP
Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Tobin and Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Schlotter have returned from a 4500-mile motor trip to the Canadian line on which they left June 1. They report a time but Tobin is offering his camping outfit for sale.
They found roads good, had and indifferent and both cars had to have entire replacement of tires. The roads in California were superior to those in Oregon and Washington.
They visited San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Klamath Falls, Oregon Caves, Crater Lake, Mt. Ranier, Portland, Bellingham and other cities and points of interest.
The weather was ideal throutout, it sprinklingonly a few drops one night.
MOTOR TRANSIT EXPANDS
The Motor Transit Co. has given permission by the State railroad commission to extend its line from Riverside to Redlands via Highgrove and Loma Vista.

For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 161, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall in said City. Dated at Anaheim, California, this 18th day of July, 1922.

LA HABRA, July 21. (Spl.)—Officers for the coming year were elected Monday evening when the La Habra C. of C. held its annual meeting, Goe. W. Young who has been serving as first vice president was elevated to the office of president to succeed R. F. Frantz who declined the office another term. W. F. Espolt was chosen first vice president and Frank Schallert second. L. M. Hopper secretary and Harry G. Hart, treasurer. C. L. Crumrine was re-elected delegate to the associated chambers of commerce. He is president of that body this year. The session was a dinner meeting held in the social hall with the members of the community church Ladies' Aid society serving the meal.

On Monday evening, July 24, at the social hall a mass meeting will be held for the purpose of re-organizing the volunteer fire department of La Habra. The meeting is being called by the Business Men's club of La Habra. There has been a fire department in the community, for some years and the place has fire fighting equipment but the company is not active and it is the desire of the citizens to put this important matter on a working basis so that a real fire protective body will be established.
Intent on camping through the Owens valley two families of La Habra are away on a fortnight's motor trip. Included are Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Robertson daughters, Miss Hattie, and son Harold, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peabody, Mr. and Mrs. John Leutwiler and daughters, Myrtle, Gladys and Stella and Miss Ruth Peabody.
At a reported consideration of $13,000 the Valencia Service station at the corner of Central avenue and the Fullertn boulevard has been purchased by Messrs Newman and LeLmer from A. J. Sweeney. The place consists of an acre of ground with a bungalow and the station. H. H. Nixon who holds a two years lease on the place will continue to operate the station.
A family party at Dalboa was enjoyed by a La Habra group when Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Taylor, the Misses Frankie May and Josephine Taylor, Mrs. L. N. Hickam and daughter, Miss Mary Louise and Edgar Herman of La Habra with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Catland (Theretta Taylor) of Huntington Park and Miss Irene Catland of Santa Ana picnicked there for the day.
Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Wester have been entertaining Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Smith and family of Turlock for the past few days. Mr. Smith is a former resident of La Habra.
