GROVE LIBRARY IS GROWING RAPIDLY GARDEN GROVE, June 30. (Spl.) Starting about six months ago with only 70 books, the Garden Grove Branch of the Orange-co free library now has a circulation of over 500 books. No town in this state holds such a wonderful record proportionate to its population. During the hours in which the library is open, a busier library could not be found anywhere. Not only does it receive its patronage from adults, but, through the strenuous efforts of Mrs. Haskins, the librarian, books are to be found that appeal to the younger generation. Much credit for the success of the library is due Mrs. Haskins, who devotes more time and energy than is required of her. The Women's Civic club of Garden Grove is fostering the library movement here, and is doing much towards financing same, as the county only helps with supplying the books. The Civic club gave the play "Clubbing a Husband" at Compton last evening, and will give the play at Buena Park July 11th, the receipts to go toward the maintenance of the local library. Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Reyburn enjoyed a trip to Glen Ivy Tuesday.
