TAVERN AT ARCH
BEACH OPENS SAT.
Arch Beach Tavern at Laguna Beach will open the season with a house warming Saturday evening, June 24th, between 7:30 and 12, when everyone is invited to partake of the hospitality offered as guests of the hotel.
A good orchestra will furnish dance music—refreshments will be served and the residents of Orange-co will be able to meet face to face some of their favorite screen stars, as several have been invited to be present.
The Tavern has recently changed ownership and will be under entirely new management and on the date of opening the interior will have been completely remodeled, redecorated and refurnished, after which the exterior will be completed.
There are 35 rooms in the remodeled Tavern and in addition a cottage for families or private parties. Hot and cold water will be found in every room and a number are equipped with private bath. Suites of two, three and four rooms connected with bath can be secured for large parties. Lounging rooms, large screened porch with wonderful ocean and mountain views have been arranged for the comforts of the guests with pianos, victrolas, etc., for their added enjoyment. Showers have been provided for the convenience of guests who enjoy surf bathing. Dining room has been arranged to accommodate 100 guests.
Owing to the late purchase of this property it has been impossible to complete all contemplated improvements, but a large crew of men will soon start on garage to accommodate a number of cars, children's play grounds, tea rooms, retaining walls as well as beautifying grounds surrounding the Tavern.
The Tavern and beach offers numerous forms of enjoyment and amusement. Dancing, cards, chess, hiking, fishing, bathing, scenic beach trips can be arranged quickly, while deep sea fishing trips can be arranged on reasonable notice. These attractions together with splendid accommodations and personal attention to the desires and wishes of the guests, should make Arch Beach Tavern an exceedingly popular place for residents of Orange-co and at the same time fill a long

YORBA LINDA
YORBA LINDA, June 21. (Spl.)—Surprising their many friends by slipping quietly out of town Friday and motoring to Santa Barbara, Miss Hallie Allee and Mr. Harold Welch were married in that city by Rev. Houlgate, at the parsonage of the Methodist church.
The bride is one of Yorba Linda's best known young ladies, and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allee of Cantil, Kern-co., Calif. She has been making her home in Yorba Linda with her brothers, since her graduation from the Fullerton high school a few years ago. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Welch, and a brother of Mrs. Chas. Selover.
He is one of the partners in the Anaheim Service Tractor work with headquarters near Placentia, Mr. and Mrs. Welch are erecting a home on East Center-st. Anaheim, where they will reside, and to this new home will go the best wishes of a host of friends.
Mrs. Roy DeWitt and two children have left for a week's stay at Redlands.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shook entertained with a 6 o'clock dinner last evening in honor of Miss Edith Benis and Mr. Chauncey Eichler whose wedding will be an event of Thursday.
A decorative scheme of yellow was used in the table arrangements, that being the bride elects favorite color. Places about the board were set for the honored guests. Mr. and Mrs.
Miss Catherine Burke, blind student at Barnard College, who has won high honors on her graduation from that institution of learning, and has been elected a member of the Phi Betta Kappa Sorority, Miss Burke was not always blind, having lost sight when she was sixteen.
NO NEW PRODUCERS AT SANTA FE SPGS.
With Oil Operators
Santa Fe Springs did not add any new production to the south's output during the past week. This field continues to present a lot of difficulties and cannot be said to be looking particularly rosy at this time. The Amalgamated Oil Co.'s Butterworth No. 2 is showing slightly at 4,400 and looks like a deep producer at best. The Getty well failed to produce anything but gas and sand at 3505 and will go deeper. The Shell Co. has to water wells, one at H. H. N. 1 and the other at G. H. N. 2. No 1 drilled out at 3733 found water and re-cemented. G. H. 2 drilled out at 3545 got a shut off and then went into water at 3640.
To show the problem that the Standard Oil Co. is up against at Santa Fe Springs it might be mentioned that this company has 7 wells standing cemented. The Brownrigg-Kellar 4880—6½ cemented, Hepler 1—3793—6½ cemented, Santa Gertrudes 1—3830—6½ cemented, Sanchez 1—4300—4½ cemented, Pacific Clay Pipe 1—4332—6½ cemented, South Whittier Community 1—3966—8½ cemented, 2—4371—6½ cemented, and Wolfskill 1—4527 cemented.
The Union Oil Co.'s Flood No. 1 a well that will determine much for the west side of field passed 4200 feet without getting any oil indications. Farewell 1 drilled out the cement at 3830—8½ and found water.
Miss Hazel Studied from San Diego, she is employed as superintendent phone office, she is ents, Mr. and Mrs., West Coast Lease.

AUTOMOBILES SMASHED
An accident occurred yesterday at the intersection of Chapman and Placentia-aves, when a Dodge car driven by Fred. Yoern of Anaheim, was in collision with a Dodge car of the Keck Drilling Co., driven by Driver Hayhurst of Brea. Yoern claims to have had the right-of-way and to have been driving slower. Both cars were damaged.
J. J. Sawyer of Anaheim reports to local police that his car was struck yesterday while he was backing out into the street from in front of the Simpson Realty Co. on West Center-st., by a car going west.

The Union Oil Co.'s Flood No. 1 a well that will determine much for the west side of field passed 4200 feet without getting any oil indications. Farewell 1 drilled out the cement at 3830-8½ and found water. Bell 4 scheduled for the Union's next producer drilled out the cement in the 8½ at 4111 and was wet. Meyer 4 at 4500 is swabbing down and showing some oil.
The field's best showing was made by the Pet. Midway's Folx No. 1. This well started producing a little last week and made possibly 200 barrels. The production has gone up to 900 and is still increasing steadily. Standlee No. 1 drilled out at 3520 swabbed down and showed no gas or oil.
The best looking wildcat well now drilling in So. Cal. is the Nevada-Ventura two miles south of the center of production Santa Fe Springs. At 3560 gas started to show in startling quantity, and at 3600 the showings got so strong it was thought advisable to stop drilling and set the 8½ pipe. Geologists have said that production could not be expected short of 4500 feet here, but things are beginning to look different now. The Nevada-Ventura is perhaps one of the cleanest and most straightforward stock company ever put over. Less then 12 per cent of the capital stock has been used for putting the company "over," the money is going into the actual drilling, and the company is managed by men who know the oil business. Such a company is worthy of the success it seems about to achieve.
Recent developments at Fairview indicate the possibility of the Fairview Oil Co. getting production soon. Showings at 2400 and 2500 seem to indicate that production will be secured at from 2800 to 3000 feet. The log of the Fairview well is checking up very closely with the Standard Bolsa Chica wells at Huntington Beach four miles west.
Seal Beach can almost be said to be a certainty. Showings found in the Henry R. Dabney Syndicate well at from 270 to 2800 indicate that
Miss Hazel Studen from San Diego, will play as superintendent phone office, she is emits, Mr. and Mrs. West Coast Lease.

The Juniors gave a program at the Christmas Sunday evening after pastor gave a few receptions production is not far away possible that drilling 3000 feet and ten inches Seal Beach Oil Co. is 2200 and has said good showings.
The lease of 725 acres on the Union Oil Co. at B.R.of the most important in oil lands and least past week. It is under country around Downtown looked over recently by big companies. The it over and closed a co-aggregating 800 acres has selected some of its property and will start the next 30 days.
Raising its productivity 800 barrels was accounted Marine Oil Corp. at N.Cleaning the well out about five feet of new No. 1 is now flowing 3180 feet.
Production honors went to the Western S Company and the Uni-pany. The Western S No. 1 finished at 3224 1500 barrels. The U.No. 3 completed at the flowing 1300 barrels of Road sprinkling cars in England in 1748. To before the king's carr
