J. T. LYON REPORTS MANY LOTS SOLD Out of 55 lots in a new 10-acre sub-division, the Dolan tract, on the south-side of West Broadway between Citron and Illinois streets, 20 have been sold, the J. T. Lyon Realty Co. said today. The tract as such has hardly been put upon the market. Only three lots are left on West Broadway itself. The public has shown gratifying interest in the tract, said J. T. Lyon in response to questions. Anaheimers are the principal purchasers. In addition to the houses erected or planned by Barney Hartfield, Dr. Herbert Johnston, and others, Walter Hansen has bought two lots and is expected to build this year. More than half the Monte Vista tract in the vicinity of the north and east addition have been sold. There were 112 lots in all, 61 have been actually sold and the deals on six or eight others practically are closed. The company is keeping 10 salesmen busy. These 167 lots are in locations which indicate values will be maintained, if not improved, in the firm's opinion. 3-MINUTE QUAKE REPORT IS UPHELD SPOKANE, Wash., June 2.—Corroboration of reports that an earthquake lasting three minutes was felt here yesterday, was contained today on the record made at that time by the seismograph of Gonzaga university. Is there a living man, woman, or child who does not love the unseen That is why that wonderful film "Sawing a Woman in Two, Exposed" will be such a powerful magnet at the California theatre tonight. When the great vaudeville novelty actually depicting the sawing of a woman in half on the stage, and when was presented at the California theatre a short time ago, was shown over the country, it caused the entire continent to gasp—and comment. "How is it done" they all exclaimed. "Isn't it wonderful!" and other similar expressions filled the atmosphere. Well, here is a chance for an Orange county people to see just now this is done. A film was made showing the inside workings or the unusual proceedings, and this will be at the California theatre tonight. On the same program, handsome Thomas Meighan will be seen in his latest screen triumph, "The Bachelor Daddy." It is a rippling story of life and love—and you are certain to like it. Also the California management will present Shirley, the world-ratous Saxophone King. He will offer superb musical selection—only Shirley can. He has played for the big phonograph firms, and his records are well known throughout the earth. In fact the entire program is one of unusual merit, and combined with Reese at the mammoth Wurlitzer organ, it is the concensus of opinion that the California theater will be packed tonight. Perhaps a man smiles when a girl puts him on the head because that's his funny bone.
