HI SCHOOL BOYS PLAN RING BATTLES
What the boys of the high school would call a banner event will occur after school Wednesday; May 21, in the gymnasium. This big event that is being widely advertised at the school, is the wrestling and boxing matches. The arena is to be opened to anyone interested and the committee has been requested to announce that the ladies and girls students are asked to be present. The main event as scheduled is a battle between Kid Eastop and Frisco Griggs, both 130-lb. youngsters. In the semi-wind-up El Toro Clayes will go against battling J. J. Henry, both in the 148-lb. class; this should prove to be a humdinger. Two fast preliminaries have been arranged, one between Bob Lewis and Monkey Giss, both 110 pounders, the other to be fought by Wild Pannier and E. Crespin.
J. Feetham, a fast boy, has issued a challenge for the main event, and Arthur Mann, another youngster famous for his high-powered fists, will challenge the winner in the wind-up. V. Peck, a bantam fighter, is to box the winner. Todd Woolf hard from the time the gong ends in the l18-lb preliminary H. Tipton will take the Coach and reference. All are Come and have a good time.
