L. B. PRODUCTION SETTING RECORD
New production at Long Beach is being developed at the rate of a thousand barrels a day. During the post ten days ten thousand dbarrels of new production came in and boosted the daily output of Southern California's newest field to 20,000 barrels. The growth of production in the Long Beach field has broken all records. The field is hardly a year old, and in that time it has forged ahead so rapidly that it is something of a job to keep up with its new drilling wells and its new producers.
The General Petroleum started the week's record breaking with a 3000 barrel well at Signal No. 1. This new producer completed at 3058 feet started off strong at 3000 and settled to 2800 barrels.
The Petroleum Midway went the General Petroleum one better by bringing in a 3000 barrel well at McDavid No. 1. This big producer a few days later slimmed up to 3200.
The MacDavid well is 3200 feet deep and to date is the biggest well brought in in the Long Beach field.
The Shell Company came in for a share of the production honors with a 1700 barrel well on the Picklek Pickler No. 1 was completed
