The regular weekly meeting of Fullerton trustees was held last night. The old board adjourned since die, after which the new board convened. All the officers were re-appointed with the exception of the city attorney, and city electrician. H. SHIPKEY GARAGE
BURNED; LOSS $1000
The garage of Harry Shipkey at Maple-ave and Spadra-rd was burned to the ground about 9 o'clock this morning, following a conflagration starting in a rubbish pile a short distance away. The loss is estimated at about $1,000. The fire was quickly fanned into a roaring flame by the wind, and the Fullerton firemen responded quickly they were too late. FULLERTON HOUSE
PACKING LEMONS
The packing of lemons at the Fullerton packing house of the Peppers Fruit Co. is progressing on a small scale, according to announcement by "Duke" Osborne. Four or five cars of lemons have been shipped from the Fullerton packing house this season, he said, and shipments still continue, although the market on lemons is at present very weak.
This company is shipping no oranges from its Fullerton packing house, Mr. Osborne said, but shipments are being made from the Olive packing plant. Mr. Osborne complained that the markeer at the present time is not favorable, that there are still many navels and sweets on the market, which slows up valencia shipments. The market is expected to pick up later when only valencias are coming in.
