West to hear the application for probation of Arthur Scott, alias Arthur Foster, who was caught in the office of Dentist W. J. Lawrie here. WILL INVESTIGATE DEATH OF PATIENT LOS ANGELES, April 18. — An investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of William J. Kinch, 38, a grocery clerk at the Norwalk state hospital for the insane, was launched by the coroner's office today. It was reported the investigation may develop into a general inquiry of conditions at the Norwalk institution. Kinch died at the hospital on Sunday night, about a week after he was taken there following an examination of his mental condition at the county hospital. According to a report of the death, Kinch had sustained a fractured jaw, contusions and "complications." The inquiry into Kinch's death will be conducted at an inquest to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the D. H. White undergoing establishment, Whittier, where the body was taken.
