J. C. AFFILIATED WITH STATE UNIV.
The regular meeting of the board of trustees of the Fullerton high school was held yesterday afternoon at the office of L. E. Plummer, principal. The chief feature was the passage of a resolution to affiliate the Fullerton Junior College with the state university. This action was the direct result of the recent overwhelmig vote of the citizens of Fullerton for the reorganization of the Junior College in order that it might become directly affiliated with the state university. This will make the grades won in the Junior College equivalent to having been won in the state university.
The only other matters given attention by the board were minor or routine.

PURDYS BACK FROM TRIP TO IMPERIAL
A. W. Purdy, wife and son, Roland, and daughter, Esther, have returned from a recent trip to the Imperial Valley where they enjoyed a most pleasant outing. Mr. Purdy stated that they went by the way of San Diego, finding the roads across the Coast Range good, except for snow and rain. The tops of some of the mountains are covered with snow, he said. From El Centro they went to Mexicali in order to see how it feels to get foot on foreign territory. They then came back and went to Salton Sea, and to Palm Springs and Banning. He highly praised the beauty of the landscape between the two latter places, stating that the ground is literally covered with flowers of purple, yellow and white, resembling a sea of daisies for about 30 miles, being quite a worthwhile scene. Nevertheless, Mr. Purdy was glad to get back to Fullerton, and to his home at 315 West Common wealth-ave.
