NEWS OF FULLERTON
COUNTY SYMPHONY CONCERT FRI. NIGHT
The Orange-co. Symphony orchestra, made up of 45 skilled musicians from all over the county including 22 from Anaheim, and directed by Harold Walberg, will appear in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, March 5, in Fullerton high school auditorium.
Tickets are on sale in Anaheim at Danz Piano Co., Hammel's Music store and Weber's Book store.
HELD ON LARCENY CHARGE
W. L. Stowe was arrested yesterday by the Fullerton police on the charge of grand larceny, and is being held for the Los Angeles police department, who are expected to come after him today.
Fay Langdon, arrested on the charge of defrauding an inn keeper was released on a ball of $50.
LIBRARY CIRCULATION GROWS
Miss Minnie Maxwell, Fullerton librarian, today reported that 8,152 books were loaned during the month, about one fourth of which were non-fiction. This is more than one book to every inhabitant of Fullerton. There were also 133 new cardholders admitted.
An addition of 15 feet is being added to the rear of the plant of the Fullerton Tribune. Materials are being furnished by the Fullerton Lumber Co.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sutherland went to Alhambra yesterday.
John and Mrs. Noonan of Fullerton motored to Elsinore yesterday.
Edgar Johnson has returned from San Francisco where he went last week.

Baby Born in Auto As Stork Wins Race
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27—G. E. Menelaus, Inglewood, today placed a laural wreath on the head of the renowned stork.
Despite the fact that he backs his flivver to the limit for speed, he said the stock was able to pass him with ease.
Menelaus appreciated the stork's speediness when he raced the stork in his flivver and lost. A baby girl weighing six and one-half pounds was born in the "flivver" while Menelaus was taking his wife to the Angelus hospital.
The child and her mother are both doing well, said the Inglewood man. The baby has been named Georgianna Idai.
WRECK VICTIM AT ANAHEIM HOSPITAL
W. A. MacDonald, and J. W. MacDonald, both of Fullerton were brot to the Anaheim Sanitarium yesterday suffering from an automobile accident in which their car skidded, and turned turtle. One of them was hurt about the head and shoulder, and the other received a bad eye and a broken nose.
Other new patients at the Sanitarium include: Mrs. J. W. Diehl of Anaheim; Allen Burrough, Garden Grove; Reinaldo Burrough, Garden Grove; Victor Burrough, Garden Grove; Mrs. C. E. Boyd, Fullerton, and Mrs. G. S. Burton, Santa Ana.

Elect Officers
Anaheim, Santa Ana and Garden Grove were represented at the annual convention in El Centro of the California Association of Commercial Secretaries. Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce attended from here. The next three day convention will be held at Santa Cruz.
The speech of the convention, at the dinner Friday night, was delivered by Lealie Henry, of Blythe, Witter & Co. The dinner was at the Barbara Worth hotel.
Saturday afternoon the El Centro chamber entertained the Secretaries of Mexicali. Crops in the Imperial Valley look well, says Secretary Fraser, who among others enjoyed a fine barn ride over the valley as a guest of the local chamber. Fraser took part in the discussion on committee work, speaking on the function of special committees, during the business sessions.
Officers elected were: Roscoe D. Wayatt, San Jose; president; H. Main, Petaluma, first vice-president; W. Boucher, Orville, second vice-president; Mrs. E. M. Van Frank, San Francisco, third vice-president; A. M. Robertson (re-elected) secretary and treasurer, and F. C. Russell, editor of the Bulletin of the official organ of the organization.
The new board of advisors is L. D. Blodgett, Bakersfield; A. S. Dudley, Sacramento; L. W. Ballard, Long Beach; Col. C. C. Simmons, San Francisco; H. W. Kerrigan, Petaluma; R. C. Evans, Redding.

The Hila Morgan Stock Co., which has been attracting crowds to the tent theater at Olive and Center-sts for the last week, announced today that performances would be continued each evening this week. "The Circus Girl will be the attraction tonight.
OLINDA, Feb. 27.(Spl).—The Women's Association in Olinda will hold its March meeting at the home of Mrs. William J. Travers of the Olinda Lease on Thursday afternoon, March 2, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Henrietta H. Kapp of Barker Bros., will speak on "The Home of the Child." The musical part of the program will include a duet by Mrs. Schweitzer and Mrs. Reynolds of Brea, and a piano solo by Miss Barnan of the Santa Fe Lease.
The chairmen of the meeting are: Program, Mrs. J. E. Welin, refreshments, Mrs. Paul Vanatta; hospitality, Mrs. E. A. Scott; entertainment, Mrs. Charles Robb; special activities, Mrs. R. E. Longstreet.
LOST CAR LOCATED
A car belonging to R. J. Rodden, borrowed in Orange by Baldneros Contreras and Andrew Bustamente, has been located again with the arrest in Burbank of the two men. They were arraigned before Justice J. B. Cox in Santa Ana today and their preliminary examination set for April 11, at 2 p.m. Meanwhile they will rest at the county jail. Bail for each was fixed at $1,000.

PRETTY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION GIVEN
LA HABRA, Feb. 27 (Spi)—A delightful birthday celebration was given for Miss Lillian Harvesty and Miss Lillian Schultz, the latter of Los Angeles, recently. The two girls are cousins, and the affair was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Nicols, Mrs. C. L. Hardesty, mother of Miss Lillian Harvesty was hostess. There were fifteen relatives present.
Mrs. Claud Smith entertained the council of the girls League Friday evening. There were twelve present to the delicious turkey dinner served at 8:30 at the home of Rev., and Mrs. Claud Smith. A business meeting was held after which the evening was enjoyed with music and games.
Mount Wilson was the objective for a party of hikers from La Habra a few days ago. Among those to enjoy this form of amusement were: Mrs. G. W. Young, Mrs. K. Halderman, Fern Halderman, Leona Heiden, Edith Kenney, Thelma Hartman, Ella Schneider, Maud Kenney, and Claud, and Glen Young.
The three small boys of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Lempke, of Placentia, are staying with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs; W. L. York, during the illness of their parents, who are both down with the la gripe.
Miss Theretta, Frankie May Taylor have been confined to their beds with the influenza for several days. Late reports are that both girls are convalescing.
Mrs. Walter Hole, who has been ill for several days with billious fever is on the road to recovery. Quite a bit of sickness is reported, but it all seems to be light cases.
The Woman's Improvement Club will hold regular session at the social hall Tuesday afternoon, the same program, "Landmarks" that was to have been given at the last meeting and postponed on account of rain will be given. Also current topics will occupy part of the time.
New arrivals to locate here are T.J.Wyatt of Pasadena, who will establish a jewelry store on Central Street.
The tri-county track meet scheduled for March 4 at Santa Ana has been postponed to March 17. The meet was to include entrees from Riverside, San Bernardino or Orange counties. Anaheim's athletics are working hard for the event.
This week is to be a busy one for the basketball boys as several games are scheduled. The Tustin first team will meet the fast melon tossers here tomorrow. On Wednesday Anaheim and Santa Ana will clash on the local court. Capistrano first team and the local team will have a hot game at the court of the So Orange-co school Friday.
On Thursday a preliminary track meet is scheduled with Fullerton at that place. Anaheim high has some excellent material that is being developed to make a winning track team. These meets are to work up pop for the big tri-county meet and the Orange-co, meet which will be held sometime in April.
The ability of the first year dramatic students was tested this morning in assembly when they presented a play entitled "The Feast of the Holy Innocense." The play was cleverly portrayed by the following cast: Cornelia Milk, Miss Hilda Gordon; Electa Milk, Miss Leona Luther; Mrs.Oberly, Miss Rosie Laboundette; Janet Oberly, Faye Ballou; Mrs.Charles O'Mann, Roberta Cawthon.
The play is one of the well known works by Zona Gale.

George Dunton, local distributor for the Lincoln, Ford and Fordson, has opened a used car market on the vacant lot owned by Mrs.Alma Pellegrin at the northeast corner of Adele and Los Angeles-sta., just north of the Dunton garage。

Mrs.Charles Newson, who has been in the Fullerton hospital for a few days with the grippe, is on the mend Mr.Newson was taken ill Friday, and the small son is also sick with the grippe.

WASHINGTON, Feb 27 Secretary Hoover has endorsed the Pan-American conference of women to be held at Baltimore April 20-29, in connection with the third annual convention of the National League of women Voters. Delegates from all of Latin America have been invited.
