NEWS OF FULLERTON BAND CONCERT AT H. S. Tozler, director. 60 AT FULLERTON KIWANIS LUNCHEON There were about 60 members present at the meeting of the Fullerton Kiwanis club at noon today at the I. O. O. F. hall. One of the features of the meeting was a talk by the president of the Kiwanis club of Mt. Clemens, Mich., who told of his trip to So. Cal. He also told of Henry Ford and some of the good musical programs for Bible class. The Houser Bible class of the First Christian church of Fullerton will be entertained Sunday morning at the regular meeting at the Rialto theatre by a lady whisper from Covina. There will also be music furnished by the high school orchestra under the direction of Director Walberg. The Masonic band will also furnish music. There are expected to be 150 men from Covina attend the class Rev. J. T. Houser, pastor of the church and teacher of the class, stated today. These will not be counted in the contest. The theatre will hole but 650 men, and there were 508 present last Sunday, and arrangements are being made for an over flow next Sunday. It is expected that the Fullerton class will lead the Santa Ana class by a big majority. Rev. Richard Gentry of the First Christian church of Covina will preach at the services instead of Rev Houser Sunday morning. The Christian Endeavor Society will stage a pageant Sunday evening at the church in honor of Dr. Clark who originated the Christian Endeavor idea about 46 years ago. ATTEND S. A. ENTERTAINMENT A number of Daughters of Veterans attended an entertainment last evening given at Santa Ana unde the auspices of the Santa Ana Daughters of Veterans, as a benefit affair for their home in Sawtelle. Attending from Fullerton were Mrs. Moni Tanner, Mrs. Smithburn, Mrs. Connor, Mrs. W. H. McHenry, Mrs. O Evans, Mrs. F. Porter and Mrs. E Double. Conders, Jeff T. Wright, O. S. Coppoch, Lew Brundidge and Dalton A. Field. Abe Pritchard received the attendance prize. SEEKS ESTATE LETTERS H. D. Thurber, of Fullerton, had filed petition in the superior court today for letters of administration over the estate of Dan Wills, who died in that city June 10, 1921. The estate consists of two shores of stock of the Anaheim Union Water company, valued at $500. BEGIN PACKING OF ORANGES THURSDAY The Placentia Orange Growers' Ass'n of Fullerton expect to begin the packing of oranges again Thursday it was announced today. The Mutual Orange Growers' Ass'n announce that they will start the packing of oranges again as soon as the weather permits. They have a few oranges left to ship, it was stated. SHIP 10 CARS OF CELERY The American Fruit Growers, Inc., will ship 10 cars of celery this week from the Irvine Ranch, it was stated this morning at the office of W. C. Osborne. There will be four cars of cauliflower shipped from the ranch, it was added. ART TEACHERS MEET Fullerton grammar schools sent an art exhibit to the display at Santa Ana today. The Fullerton exhibit will be in charge of Mildred Pierce, art director of grammar schools. There will be a meeting of all art teachers in the county tonight at the junior high school in Santa Ana, it was stated. HAWAIIAN CONCERT TONIGHT There has been much enthusiasm aroused in the Fullerton grammar schools over the big Hawaiian entertainment to be given tonight by the FULLERTON BRIEF'S Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith entered Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs Robert Wood and daughter Gwen dolyn of El Monte, also Dr. and Mrs R. N. Wood, visiting here from Boston, Mass., and Mrs. T. R. McMichael of El Monte. The Foreign Missionary society of the Presbyterian church will meet Thursday afternoon in the churl parlors. Mrs. Donaldson will be the speaker and her topic will be "Korea." Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Callan spent the week-end at Oxnard visiting Mrs Callan's sister, Mrs. W. Pierce. Mr. and Mrs. Dykman were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Swair on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Spow, of Pasadena were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jordan, Sunday a delicious chicken dinner was served after which cards and music were enjoyed. The Ebell club will give a card party in the Odd Fellows hall Friday at 2 p.m. Five hundred and Bridge will be played and prizes will be awarded for highest scores in each game. Everyone is cordially invited; so let's all go and help the Ebell ladies build that new club house. Mr. L. Plummer will leave in a few days to attend a J. C. convention to be held at Memphis, Tennessee, or the 24 and 25th and a high school principal and supervisors convention at Chicago, on the 27th and 28th and March 1, 2 and 3. Mrs Plummer will visit with her people at Coldwater, Michigan during his absence. Mrs. G. K. Pettit left this morning over the Santa Fe for Fort Smith. Bervin climbed into a packing case in Charleston, Mass. Prison, and escaped when the motor truck passed through Newton. Miss Ireland saw him run into a cellar and informed the police.
