TWO BIRTHDAYS IN SAME FAMILY ARE DULY CELEBRATED
SUMPTUOUS dinner at the Durfee ranch, on Sugar avenue, marked the birthdays of Mrs. M. R. Culbertson and her grandson, Junior Durfee, and a jolly company of members of the family helped the honorees to properly celebrate the occasion.
Master Junior had attained the age of one year, and is the only boy in the family to bear the name of Durfee. The one marring feature of his advent into the world, according to adoring California relatives, was the fact that his birthplace was Nogales, Ariz. But he has lived long enough to become a ruddy Californian.
Both Mrs. Culbertson and her grandson were presented with many handsome gifts, and among the little man's number is a valuable ring, presented by Mrs. James Marvin Hitchcock. The evening passed quickly with singing and visiting, concluding an enjoyable party. Guests at dinner were Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Culbertson, Mr. and Mrs. M. Eugene Durfee and Junior, Miss Altnow, Miss Evelyn Durfee, and Mrs. Pauline Powell, of Long Beach, an anunt who is visiting for several days at the ranch.
