BI-PRODUCTS PLANT PROVING SUCCESS "The evident satisfaction of all patients" was shown with the condition of the Exchange Orange Produce Co. at the annual meeting of the Anaheim Citrus Assn's stockholders yesterday, following the report of President E. T. Cassel of the company, W. H. Schureman, manager of the association said today, commenting on the concluding features of the afternoon session. "The business of last year proved that the concern will be a success," Schureman added. The board of directors of the association was re-elected and will organize today. The company will continue to put out dried orange peel, vinegar and dehydrated orange juice. The market for the orange vinegar is sure, said Schureman, quoting Cassel, because the families of associations connected with the exchange, for which this company alone handles the by-products, alone can consume all the vinegar produced. The company will handle a larger proportion this year than ever before of the cult oranges of the exchange associations in So. Cal. It is stated on excellent authority that the volume of cult oranges to be handled will not be exceptionally large, because what would have been culls are damaged more than the other fruit and will be cast aside unless of actually usable quality. The speech of S. C. Hartranft, a director of the association, on its works and condition and of Manager Dale R. King of the No. Orange-co Citrus Exchange were heard by an audience which occupied every single seat of the meeting-place. The meeting as a whole was one of the best ever held by the association, said Schureman. The Junior League. Grammar School Notes It is a good evidence of the growth of the population of Anaheim when new school teachers have to be secured to take care of the increase in the enrollment of the schools of the city. Miss Nila Walton of Orange has been chosen by the school board and Supt. C. C. Smith to take charge of the new class at the Broadway school which is composed of the pupils of the 3A and 4B. Miss Walton comes highly recommended and has high school credentials. The principals of the Anaheim grammar school attended the session of the Orange county principals' association last evening at Tustin. Miss Lydia Killifer, president, presided. A luncheon was served by the domestic science classes of the Tustin school. Principals attending the meeting were Miss Alice Grimshaw, Miss Vincenta Doyle, Miss Mattie Lou Robertson, W. C. Maxwell, C. C. Smith and Mrs. G. B. Daniels. GOTHAM'S GIRLS GET PRACTICAL INSIGHT NEW YORK, Feb. 1.—New York debutantes are not so frivolous and untrained for domestic life as they are sometimes accredited with being. The Junior League, organization of debs par excellence, has its own pet charity, the Prospect Shelter, and instead of merely sending checks to it, the League members take turns spending half days there and looking after the babies.
