Tuesday, January 17, 1922 THE ORANGE CITY SPORTING EVENTS SUNDAY'S GAME AT HIGH SCHOOL FIELD Anaheim Elks will play next Sunday's game on the high school field here. This was announced today by Manager Billy Knott. Poor attendance at the Commonwealth park, in Fullerton, because it is so far out in the country, and the added fact that there is a better field at the high school prompted the change. Incidentally, it would be easy to strike a bargain with the owner of the stands at the Commonwealth park. This may interest high school prunees or city park developers. Manager Knott was not certain today who would furnish the opposition for Sunday's game tho it will probably be Riverside Elks. Ford Tally, American Association pitcher who faced the locals last Sunday, will be in an Anaheim uniform Sunday. DOZEN ANAHEIMERS JOIN COUNTRY CLUB Anaheim will shortly be represented by at least a dozen golfers in the Orange-co Country club at Newport, C. C. Sidnam, B. H. Sidnam and Harry Hathaway are now members. Sunday the Sidnams and Bud Dozler introduced Bud Holland into the mysteries of the ancient and honorable game. 7 MIGHTY HUNTERS SHOOT 275 DUCKS Bert Kern, Frank Miller, Earl Schrott, Louie Schrott, Wm. They did not have a sunny day on the entire trip. The heavy trains covered the lowlands with water so that instead of finding five small lakes with thousands of ducks huddled together they found one great sea of water with the game widely scattered.
