Van MUSICAL COMEDY AT CALIFORNIA THEATER One of the most pretentious acts in vaudeville is coming to the California theatre tomorrow as the headliner on the Meiklejohn and Dunn vaudeville road show. Singing, dancing and comedy will all be found in the musical revue which the Burns Brothers have to offer. In this act there are 15 people and besides this aggregation of performers a special orchestra is carried by this company. Alma Highower who is the drummer and leader of the jazz band which furnishes the music for this revue is considered the best woman musician in this country “The Dark Town Follies” has many bright spots and these colored performers are sure to furnish a hot of mirth and laughter. Louis London, the Orpheum favorite, is often billed as the man with the million dollar voice and he quite lives up to his billing, Mr. London is one of the highest salaried singers in vaudeville and his selection of original songs and stories are of great entertaining value. Two clever people are Robert Jesse and his pretty partner, Alice Hubert. They have a real comedy offering in their sketch “A Pair of Hose” and smiles and chuckles follow every line that they speak. Another high class act will also be seen and the photoplay, “The Mask,” a gripping picture will be shown. In the cast of this picture are Jack Holt, Hedda Nova, and little Mickey Moore.
