SAVES SPOUSE FROM EXECUTION How the wife of a Delhi Mexican saved the life of her husband, who was sentenced to be shot at Tia Juana as a former rebel, became known here when it was learned that the Mexican, Juan Ociguerra, an employee at the plant of the Santa Ana Sugar company, is expected to return to Santa Ana today, none the worse for his perilous experience. Ociguerra last week left Santa Ana and crossed the international line. Mexican authorities at Tia Juana arrested him, charging him with being a rebel. He was found guilty and sentenced to be shot last Tuesday. The man sent a letter to his wife, who went to Claud Killen, superintendent of the sugar factory, and procured from him a letter setting forth that Ociguerra could not have been a rebel, inasmuch as he had been employed at the plant for the past five or six years. Bearing this letter, Mrs. Ociguerra hastened to Tia Juana, where, upon presentation of the proof of her husband's innocence, he was released. OPERATE GINNING PLANT Zululand's first cotton ginning unt has been placed in operation. $1000 LOOT TAKEN FROM FIVE MOTORS The term "stripped car" was applicable in an unpleasant sense today to five automobiles stored in the Golden West warehouse at Wintersburg, while the sheriff's office was conducting search for the author of a $1,000 burglary there. Tires, rims and tools formed the principal loot. According to a report filed with Sheriff C. E. Jackson the warehouse was entered and four of the cars, a Dodge, an Overland, a Chevrolet and a Ford, were completely stripped of all tires and rims, together with a set of tools from each car. The Ford car, in addition, lost its floor boards and the hood over the motor. A fifth car in the warehouse was less extensively stripped, but contributed some items to the list of missing. The estimate of $1,000 loss is considered moderate. No clue to the burglary could be founr, the authorities stated.
