JOINT INSTALLATION OF 3 COMMANDERIES
There was a notable fraternal event in the Fullerton Masonic temple by the Knights Templar when the commanderies of Fullerton, Santa Ana and Whittier held a joint installation of officers. Several hundred people were present at the ceremonies. The meeting was attended by Knights Templar, Royal Arch Masons and their ladies. Following the installation of officers there was dancing and refreshments.
Officers of the Fullerton lodge were installed as follows: C. C. Chapman, enlistment commander; Daniel L. Newton, generalissimo; E. J. Marks, captain general; P. L. Bradford, senior warden; J. C. Thames, junior warden; S. C. Hartranft, prelate; Angus McAulay, treasurer; E. A. Reynolds, recorder; J. C. Gardiner, standard bearer; Charles E. Smith, sword bearer; E. E. Fink, warder; A. G. Van Danburgh, first guard; W. G. Lehrer, second guard; Dr. J. A. Lang third guard.

Fullerton J. C. basketball team defeated Huntington Beach basketball team last night at the Fullerton high school; score stood 40 to 15 in favor of Fullerton.
FULLERTON RAIN TOTALS 4.90
There were 41 of rainfall from 8 o'clock yesterday morning until 8 o'clock this morning, making 4.90 inches for this rain, and 6.33 for the season, compared with 2.25 for the season last year at the same time, according to the Placentia Orange Growers' Ass'n. This is the biggest rain Fullerton folks can remember in years.
CHILDREN'S XMAS PARTY
The Royal Neighbors entertained their children Tuesday afternoon in the Odd Pellows Hall, with a Christmas party. A large tree beautifully trimmed and adorned with lights and decorations.
RAINS DO NOT STOP VEGETABLE PACKING
The rains this week did not stop the shipping of cauliflower by the American Fruit Growers, Inc., of Fullerton, it was stated today by C.W. Osborne, who has succeeded A.H.T. Osborne as manager of the company. He stated this morning that six cars of cauliflower will be shipped this week. However, no lettuce will be shipped, it was stated. The celery season will be on as soon as the rain clears away. It is stated that the rain has done much good to the celery crop.
XMAS TREE FRIDAY EVENING
The members of the Baptist church will have their Christmas tree celebration Friday evening in the church auditorium. There will be bags of candy and nuts for the children; also a very interesting program. Plans are also being made to send food and clothes to several needy families.
CANTATA CHRISTMAS MORNING
The First Christian church of Fullerton will give a Christmas cantata Christmas morning. There will be 45 voices in the choir, it was stated this morning by Rev John T. Houser, pastor. There will be no evening services.
The Bible class will take care of a number of needy cases in and about Fullerton during the holidays.
The mails are being pretty well taken care of in Fullerton, it was stated this morning by Murt Blackford; postmaster. The office is keeping pace with the volume of business. It has been necessary to put on a couple of extra workers to care for the business this week, he said. He stated that it was a bit inconvenient for the trains to come in so late, but they are making the best of a bad bargain. A Ford has been put on to carry the mails in the city, he said.

Each child was presented with candy popcorn balls and a little present, all wrapped up in tissue paper and tied with a pretty ribbon. In spite of the rain a very good crowd was present.
BOY SCOUTS GIVEN FLAG
Fullerton Boy Scouts were presented with a flag by the Daughters of Veterans at a meeting in the arena gym of the First Presbyterian church. Mrs. Curran of the Daughters of Veterans made the presentation speech, and James Gardiner responded on the part of the Boy Scouts. Rev. Statom delivered an address which was the feature of the evening. Refreshments were served. There were about 40 present.
WICKERSHEIM KEEPS BUSY
Although Tuesday was one of the wettest days Fullerton has had in several years, the Wickersheim Implement company sold a Ford sedan to J. H. Hile of Anaheim and a Ford roadster to Nick H. Hile of Anaheim touring cars to Ruby and Hazel Weaver nad C. H. Tod of Fullerton, and Tom Mackey of Placentia, and a 1919 Chevrolet to Andy Gage of Fullerton, a total of 6 cars.
Several days ago they received a carload of nine tourings and two Ford trucks, and today they are unloading a carload of five tourings and three roadsters. During the past 10 days they have driven from Los Angeles 8 coupes, 6 roadsters, 1 touring car and 1 truck.

FULLERTON BRIEFES
Glen Hartranft returned this morning from Stanford university to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Hartranft of "No Man's Land" between Anaheim and Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Robeson, who have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Robeson's people, Mr. and Mrs. L. Jones, for the last three weeks, returned to their home in Huntington Beach.
Mrs. J. L. Haver was a Los Angeles sitter yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morris are the proud parents of a baby boy born Dec. 18.
L. B. Steward and wife of Fullerton, who were called north a week ago Sunday by what was believed to be the fatal illness of the wife of Mr. Steward's brother, Mrs. L. Steward, of Omah Wash., will return home tomorrow morning.
L. Steward underwent a successful operation and she and her husband and three children are coming with r. and Mrs. L. B. Steward. City manager O. E. Steward of Anaheim will meet the invalid in Los Angeles with an ambulance.
Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Thatcher of West Wilshire have with them for the winter Mrs. Thatcher's uncle andunt, J. B. Barlow and sister, Mrs. M. Groves of Grand Rapids, Mich., who arrived recently in Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Harlow of Iverside will entertain as Christmas dinner guests their relations, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Harlow of Fullerton, r. and Mrs. A. Harlow and Mr. and Mrs. M. Harlow.
Mrs. G. Esmay is expecting a visit from her two daughters, Miss Leona Esmay of Long Beach and Miss Cora Esmay of Los Angeles for over the holidays.
Mrs. J. Hetebrink is a Los Angeles sitter today.
Mr. E. Switzer and family, old friends of Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Hay of South Highland-ave arrived from Otowa, Kansas, the last of the week to make their home in Fullerton.
