News of Fullerton THIEVES STRIP NEW INVALID COACH Angus McAulay, funeral director of Fullerton, has just received a new invalid coach, the price running above $0,000. It is the speediest car on the mark. Rock Falls make, and is equipped with Westinghouse shock absorbers which assures the patient against jolts. It is finished in blue and ivory, and has disc wheels. It is finished with mahogany inside, and equipped with a ventilating system, this making it a sort of miniature hialeah on wheels. While in transit four cord tires, the battery, the cabburetor and everything movable, was stolen from the car. A Long Beach undertaker who also had a car in the same shipment reported that his car too was stripped. "What are we coming to?" asked McAulay. LEAVES LARGE FAMILY Lewis Arthur Hardison, 68, died last night at this boring near Fullerton, where he had lived seven years. The body will be sent to Santa Paula Sunday by Angus McAulay, undertaker, for interment. Decedent is survived by his widow and several children. THANKSGIVING REUNION The Smith family of the Fullerton Standard Bank and their relatives held a big get-together picnic Thanksgiving day at the Fullerton city park. There were 45 Smiths and relatives at the picnic. The best of Thanksgiving "eats" were enjoyed. Wm. Trapp, Jr., Cement Pipe, 197-H-4 "Mr." Fox Trot, 308 E. Center DRIVING NEW FRANKLIN'S E. W. Dean, hardware and furniture dealer of Fullerton, and G. B. Pinkham, of the same city, are owners of new Franklin's. The cars were purchased of the Bob White Co., of Anaheim. SERVE TURKEY DINNER R. and Mrs. J. L. Updike were hosts and hostess to a delicious turkey dinner. Thanksgiving. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. G. Darrett and children of oLng Beach, Mr. and Mrs. G. Updike, Mr. and Mrs. A. Updike, or Anaheim Mr. H. A. Copp of Fullerton and host and hostess Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Updike. The rooms and dining table were pretty ydecorated, in yellow and green color scheme, and the afternoon was spent socially. EBELL ENVERTAINS The social section of the Ebell club entertained very delightfully last evening at the home of Mrs. Frank Daufer with a dancing party honoring the girls in the chorus of their recent play, "Come Island," who worked so hard, helping to make the play such a wonderful success. The girls invited their boy friends, making about 35 present. After a pleasant evening of dancing, refreshments of ice cream and cake were served by Mrs. Frank Daufer assisted by Mrs. A. H. Dunlap and Mrs. A. H. Bradford. A big Eastern Star meeting will be held this evening in the Masonic temple. This is matrons and patrons evening and a large attendance is expected. Miss Ethel Hancock who has been staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Gage will leave tomorrow for her home in San Jacinto where she will make a short visit. Peralta Items PERALTA, Nov. 26—Las Sunday, about 6 p.m., a Ford touring car driven by Tonny Loporto, turned completely over on the boulevard, a short distance from the Waldo Polson home on the Pyne ranch. The driver was unaware of the curve in the road had lost control of his car after swinging too far to one side. He was the only occupant of the car and was found soon after the accident pinched beneath his machine. Help arrived and he was taken to the Anaheim hospital for treatment. Otto Carter's brother and sister from Antelope valley spent three nights visiting here and afterwards returned home. Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Carter are spending Thanksgiving week in this community. The Carter family dinner was enjoyed Thursday at the home of L. S. Carter, Santa Ana. ALTNOW'S FAMILY DINNER The home of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Altnow was the scene of a merry family reunion on Thanksgiving day when they entertained with a turkey dinner at six o'clock for relatives. All the holiday suggestions were in vogue. Degryse and family greatly enjoyed a surprise visit from Miss Margaret Nichon of Los Angeles and Will Houlihan of Horniton. Mrs. Degryse is the aunt of Mr. Houlihan and they had not seen each other for a great number of years. After dinner last evening they motored to Pomona where Mr. Houlihan's sister is living.
