WEDDED COUPLE
AMONG GUESTS
MR. AND MRS. J. M. McDUELL and family motored to Los Angeles yesterday, where they were entertained at a four course one of clock dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McCahill. The rooms were appropriately decorated with Thanksgiving trimmings, the table decorated with cut-out turkeys and pumpkins, while bouquets of roses furthered the seasonable motif.
Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Deaver, bride and groom, who have just arrived on the coast and who are cousins of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McDuell. The bride is a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, and the groom of Lexington, Virginia. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. John McCahill of Fresno, Mr. Davis of San Francisco, Mr. Littlefield and Mr. and Mrs. A. McDuell of Los Angeles and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McDuell and family of Anaheim.
TURKEY DINNER AT BUENA PARK
Dr. and Mrs. D. W. Hasson entertained with a turkey dinner yesterday to celebrate a family reunion at their home in Buena Park. Red roses and other flowers formed the color motiff. The afternoon was socially and informally spent. The dinner was laid for O. C. Hasson of Puente, Roy Hasson of Glendale, Mr. and Mrs. David Hasson of Huntington Beach, Dean Hasson and family of Anaheim and the hostess, Dr. and Mrs. D. W. Hasson. A large bouquet of holly formed the center piece in the dining room.

AUTUMN LEAVES GRACE HOME
Autumn leaves for decorations and Thanksgiving place cards and favors marked an important and pretty setting in the rooms of the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Beard yesterday when they entertained with a turkey dinner for friends.
These seasonal suggestions made the rooms very bright and gay. The following sat down to a bountiful laden dinner table: Mr. and Mrs. C. Beard, of Santa Ana, and Gerald Beard of Santa Ana; Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Morthland, Ray Kissell, Mrs. Sterling and Mrs. C. L. Huff, all of Whittier, and the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Beard.

THE OLD storekeeper.
WHO WAS playing checkers.
IN THE back of the store.
AMONG THE coal oil.
AND THE prunes.
WHEN THE sheriff.
WHO HAD just jumped his king.
SAID "SI there's a customer,

AND SI said "Sh-h-h!

MEBBE HE'LL go away."
NOW HERE'S the big idea.
