HEAVY DEMAND FOR ENCLOSED MOTORS
There is an unprecedented demand for enclosed cars, says George Dunton Ford and Fordson distributor. Out of ten new cars delivered last week, four were coupes, and we have delivered three more coupes this week.
Last week Dunton visited the new Ford body and upholstering plant in Los Angeles, which will begin operations shortly. He reports a very extensive plant is being installed for the manufacture of all sedan bodies used on this coast.
Dunton has just promoted L. W. Mawson to the sales department. He has been employed in the Ford service department for two years.

He started a bakery in what was then a village, his location being on South Los Angeles street, in the Metz block, where the Kraemer building is now under construction. In 1877 he moved his bakery to the more convenient location, now West Center street, where the White Lily bakery is located, and afterward sold out, buying a 20-acre ranch of Mr. Royer.
Later he sold this ranch to J. C. Seeman, now living at 116 Resh st., and entered into partnership with Mr. Browning, setting out about 40 acres near Anaheeim, to vineyard. In three years he acquired a half-interest in the 40-acres at a reward for his industry. Selling the vineyard, he moved to town, occupying property on Emily street, and later to the old brewery on Adel-st.
His health began falling some time ago, and about four weeks ago he was removed to the county hospital where he passed away after a strenuous, ambitious life. Mr. Uhle, August Backs and other intimate friends has assisted him in his needs for years, and are left memories of many pleasant associations in the years passed.
