BIGGEST PRODUCER ON SAM KRAEMER 2
RICHFIELD
The biggest producer in Calif. is now located at Richfield, on the bannuel Kraemer No. 2. The giant producer is the property of standard Oil Co. and puts the So. Cal. oil field to the front in production. The big well Kraemer 2-15 was completed early last week at a 4260 and started off at 2000 barrels. The production rose steadily until it reached the almost unbelievable figure of 4489 barrels. This tremendous output of oil is flowing thru a one-inch nipple and is under a pressure of 500 pounds. The oil is testing 26 gravity and is coming free from sand or water. California's now greatest oil well is a tribute to the genius of California's master rotary operator and the most successful "bringer" in of big wells, Ralph Winger.
The Amalgamated Oil Co. has closed a deal with Wm. Krammerer for holdings adjoining the Petroleum Midway's Krug property and will begin immediate development. Kamamerer No. 1 has been located to offset Krug No. 3. Page No. 1 was lost at 2780 and the rig moved. Breen 2-A continues drilling in the hard conglomerate at 2-400 feet, Bahya No. 1 down 2460 is redlilling at 2000. Thompson No. 1 is drilling out the cement and will test out at 2821.
In all probability the Fullerton Oil Co. will abandon the deep test well Anaheim Union No. Drilled to 4686 this wel at no time showed any indications of oil and can be set down as the first deep duster in the old reliable oil district, Richfield.
It is understood that there is a possibility of the Wonder Co. Ltd., taking over the uncompleted well of the Placentia-Pacific Oil Co. and carrying it onto the deep sands. At 3800 feet the Placentia-Pacific successfully shut off water, but failed to get a producing well. The Wonder Co. has holdings adjoining the Placentia-Pacific and in view of the holdings the Wonder Co. may be interested in going ahead with the well.
Krug No. 1 completed at 2935 came in a 100-barrel well and is the smallest producer on the property. The Petroleum Midway is now working on a deep test well at Yarnell No. 3 and drilling at 4000 feet the formation is showing shale and shell. Isaacs No. 2 is now drilling in the oil sand at 3175 and looks very good. Krug No. 5 set eight-inch at 2851. Richfield-Yorba No. 2 still stands re-cemented at 4157. On the Consolidated property No. 4 stands cemented at 2800 and No. 5 is rigging up to drill.
The Placentia Oil Co. failed to get a complete shut off at 2980 and carried the eight-inch on to 3022 and re-cemented. Indications point to a producer for the Placentia Oil Co. as soon as a successful water shut off is accomplished.
Drilling on the Richfield Union Petroleum (Comanche) was going nicely at 3670 when the drill pipe twisted off and left 17 stands in the hole. At 3665 formation changed from hard sand to shale and the twist-off came too early to find out how far the shale run or what it would run into. The oil sands are expected anywhere from 3809, to 4000 feet.
The prediction that the Ridge Oil Co. would get a producer at 420e has gone by the boards. At 4200 the Ridge is showing brown sandy shale, a little gas and colors of oil.
At 4165 the Jones No. 1, deep test well of the General Petroleum at Yorba Linda, was cemented. At this depth the well is showing no indications of oil. Hugo No. 3 the G.P.'s next producer, according to schedule, met with an accident on the eve of coming in. While reaming out the last few feet of hole and getting ready to set the perforated, the bit stuck and resisted efforts to get it out. The well is now held up with a bad and complicated fishing job. The deep test well on the Walker got an encouraging showing at 3997, stopped the drilland set pipe at 3950. On the Carpenter lease the G.P. has No. 2 drilling at 2409 in sticky shale.
The "crescograph," devised by Sir J.C.Bose, makes visible the slow growth and other movements of plants, which are magnified several million times in this instrument.

BOOST PRODUCTION OF FOWLER WELL 2
Huntington Beach
By deepening Fowler No. 2 from 3358 to 5567 the Amalgamated Off Co. increased the production from 250 barrels to 800 barrels. At Huntington 2-A the 6-inch and 8-inch was reperforated, the idea to catch the upper sands from 2690 up. Huntington No. 2 is on regular production at about 356 barrels. Huntington No. 6 is down $125 and getting close to production. Pearce No. 1 produces steadily at 375.
The Gypsy Syndicate is now listed as a producing company at Hunting Beach. Gypsy No. 1 set 10-inch at 2300, drilled out and went on production a hundred barrel well. The well is flowing thru 8-inch casing and is expected to better this figure as it cleans up and gets underway. At No. 2 a test is being made on the water shut off at 2315. Should the cement set successfully this second well will be on production soon.
Things are getting into shape rapidly for the return of the famous Huntington Central No. 1 to production. Sixty feet of new hole was made and at 2345 the well is being bailed down to bring in. According to the showings the well is expected to flow and will probably do 400 or 500. Huntington Central No. 2 is drilling at 3450 in very hard shell. Machris Brothers No. 1 completed at 3595 came in yesterday and looks like a thousand barrel well. This new well is located in the vicinity of the Eddystone's initial well Ashston No. 1 that started off with a flow of 1500 barrels. Machris Brothers have played in hard luck for some time in So Cal, and they are fully entitled to the big success that has just come to them.
E. J. Miley No. 1 picked up from 277 barrels to 600 and is holding steadily at that figure. Miley No. 2 is rigged up, and No. 3 is rigging up.
After standing for three months work on the Motor Oil and Refining Co.'s well resumed Monday. Rigging up with cable tools to drill out the cement is the order. Motor Oil cemented at 2379. The General Petroleum's Community No. 1 is 500 feet deeper and as yet has not struck the oil sand. The G. P. well is on adjoining property, east side.
Miley-Keck No. 4 the sensation of the field last week has settled down to a steady flow of 700 barrels. At No. 1 sidetracking is at 2590, No. 3 is a rig. No. 5 is also a rig. No. 6 at 2550 is testing water. No. 7 at 2800 is drilling in brown shale. No. 8 is rigging up.
A third cementing failed to shut the water for rite Peerless Petroleum Co. at 2700 feet. Permission has been secured to go ahead and do prospect drilling.
The second cementing of the Golden Dome shut the water off at 2753 and now the 8-inch casing is going in and preparations underway to resume drilling. Golden Dome is expected to get into production at 3000.
The Painted Hills Oil Co., a concern operating at San Bernardino has leased from the Bolaa Chica Pot. Co. 40 acres in what is known as the Boulevard Act Tract. The new comers promise immediate action.
The Petroleum Co.'s new producer Porter No. 1 after some variation has settled down to 2625 barrels. Brown No. 1 is now one of the deep drilling wells of the field, making hole at 3800 in hard sand.
The Petroleum Midway is now the second largest producing company at Huntington Beach. The completion of two wells, Vollmer-Meyer No. 1 and No. 4 gave the Petroleum Midway a new production of 2600 barrels. Vollmer-Meyer No. 1 completed at 3465 started off making a 1000 bbls, Vollmer-Meyer No. 4 completed at 3550 came in at 1600 barrels and the oil is 26.7 gravity. Columbia-2-1 is perforating the production string at 370 and is ready to be brot in. Ray Walker is now drilling again and shows 3000 feet in the shale. Snythe No. 1 stands cemented at 3268 and No. 2 has ben located. Elliott No.1 a new well spudded in and made 500 feet. Pearce No.1 is a new location, Towers No.1 is now at 3350 drilling.
