EASILY SATISFIED
The curious Ullig, about congressmen is that they never ask to have their terms shortened for good behavior.
It is believed that the Akkadians, the ancient inhabitants of Babylonia, possessed a well constructed calendar as early as 6,000 B.C.
EPWORTH LEAGUE HAS SOCIAL
The Epworth League of the First Methodist Church of Fullerton, composed chiefly of students of the Fullerton H. S., and J. C., held a social at the church parlor Friday night.
There was registration, and an entrance examination among the questions asked being: "When the dawn broke who gathered up the pieces?"
Charles Rappe was chairman of the affair, and John Critter, president. Poolish speeches were made by Glen Lewis, principal, Mrs. Douglas, and others. There was quite a play and contests in "modern slang language," the one using the most slang getting the prize; history, manual training and sewing. The girls were put to work in manual training and the boys to sewing, and the guests passed from class to class. Games were played, and refreshments were served.
THREE TEACHERS ILL
There were three teachers of the Fullerton high school absent today because of illness. William T. Boyce, whose father-in-law Mr. VVotow, is ill, and Miss Rivers and A.E.Ames, who are ill.

YOU’LL HAVE A BETTER HOME
IF YOU OWN IT!
There is nothing unreasonable in the fact that home owners take better care and keep houses and gardens in better repair than do those who rent. No one feels like putting their efforts and money into improvements that belong to some one else and especially when they do not know how long it will be to them.
It isn’t hard to tell a rented home from one that is occupied by its owner, that is why everyone should encourage its people to acquire homes. That is why progressive business men and citizens co-operate in movements that have a tendency to instill into the minds of renters a winning spirit.
It is why this page is being featured each week illustrating a modern home, hoping that you will be just what you will want to adopt to build from and that something we may say on pages will start you on the road to home ownership.

it is why this page is being featured each week illustrating a modern home, hoping that one will be just what you will want to adopt to build from and that something we may say on pages will start you on the road to home ownership.
The reason some people never have a home because they live on excuses. Say they don't buy a home until they can pay all cash while as a matter of fact 90 per cent of homes purchased on the installment plan. Still others we do not know how long we will reside here, fail to reason that the same money they are paid out for rent will meet payments on a home and any time they care to do so they can find a purchaser who will pay well for the interest have in the home and will assume obligation have made, in meeting future payments.
Some feel they cannot afford to obligate themselves in buying or building a home that will all of their present and future needs. To those advice is that you build a moderate priced even though it becomes necessary to be incornanced at times, then later on make additions enough room is provided. The longer you put building or buying the harder it is to make start and the longer it will be before you can it your very own.
There never has been a time during the four years when better reasons could be advancing why you should build now, than at previous Building materials are lower than we had any sons to expect them to be. Labor is more efficient and our candid opinion is the sooner you building the greater will be the saving to you.
Forget excuses, and phony reasons for starting to build, but resolve to make arrangements to acquire a sheltering place of your own,
