ELKS BEAT LITTLE & CO. TEAM 9 TO 5
Anaheim's championship Elk pastimers took the A. E. Little & Co. team of Los Angeles into camp yesterday afternoon at Commonwealth park. Fullerton, it had been billed as a practice affair to keep the champs in trim for the state titular affray at Santa Cruz Friday of next week and for a time it looked as if the champs would have to do some tall practicing to keep their heads above water.
The locals went to the fourth innning before marking up one lone fall. The visitors again took the lead momentarily, hanging up two more. The local half however, the game was put on ice, a good place to have it yesterday by marking up four more. In the seventh the locals counted another which ended the scoring for all concludes.
Salveson and Hughes were both given good sweat-outs. Red' Bill man went the whole route for the visitors but doubtless would have appreciated relief on occasions when the local wrecking crew go to going good as in the sixth when Hughes got on by an error. Pendleton sniffed, Buster Callan singled, Brother Glenn adduced. Lewis made one off the shortstop's shine, Hawkins funnished Bush was oh by an error, and Longman and Moffatt singled, Hughes making the third out on a grounder to short when he batted for the second time.
In the next innning Jack Pendleton pickled the horsehide for a ride into the tides. Jack ambling in before the fielder could find it.
Anaheim seems to have a weakness for the number 16. Yesterday for the third time in the last four games, the old wrecking crew garnered 16 hits, rammissant of the 16 tallies hung up against Pasadena at the Vernon game. If the 16 to 1 policy is maintained against Sun Francisco, the local free silver huge will be happy.

Sport Chatter
The champ Elk pastimers will probably appear at next Sunday's game in new white sweaters, bearing the numerals, 1345, in gold, a little personal adornment intended to brighten the horizon for the fog-acustomed crew from Frisco at Santa Cruz. The practice game for the locals next Sunday at Commonwealth park will be with the fast White Sox of Los Angeles. This colored organization heat every队 faced last year with the exception of the Alexandria Giants, who refused to play. It is the first game this fall for the coons.
Bill Darnley, matchmaker and referee at Sparke's flatic ranch, is spending a few days in Santa Barbara looking over the boxing material there with the view of showing some new faces in the local plant. Among the boys of the northern city who would give the local fans their money's worth in four rounds are Danny Moyer, Frankie Smith and Joe Garcia. It is likely that all three of these boys will show here in the near future.

TWIN MAIN EVENT AT LEGION ARENA
A double main event will be offered in boxing fane at the new Anaheim Legion stadium Thursday and from the indications as they appear on paper a hot eight rounds can be expected. Chet Neff and Young Dudley wind up the program with Johnny Meyer and slack Martin running them close second.
Neff's defeat of Gastine here last week was done in such a systematic manner that his re-appearance will probably pack the pavilion. Johnny Meyers is a bit faster than Martin, but Martin's punching ability will off-set that advantage.
Three good preliminaries and a curtain raiser age being organized and the fans are promised one of the best shows seen in a local flastic plant.

DUDLEY VS. KRAMER
ELKS' MAIN EVENT
Young Dudley and Jimmy Kramer will tangle in the main event at Sparker's ranch tomorrow night in the boxing program, to be given by the Elks to raise funds for the baseball champion's trip north.
Dudley and Kramer fought a whirlwind draw at Huntington Beach several weeks ago and tomorrow night's fracas will settle the argument. That it will be wild fire from the opening gong is practically assured as both are rugged mixers and work fast.
The semi-windup also will be a rapid fire bout, according to those in charge, when Jess Reed and "Ironman" Kasper get together. These boys have met before and are declared to have kept the crowd on their toes during their argument.
One thing we can vouch for is that the second event on the program will be worth watching at least from one angle. Kid Loule, of Placentia, will take on one Battlet Herrera and if the latter lives up to his name a whale of a bout can be looked forward to. Loule has never failed but once to put on a good show in his local houts and that exception can partly be layed to his inexperience.
Jimmy Lloyd and Kid Beach meet in the opening bout and if Jimmy puts the action into the battle that he did against Perfy Mack some real action can be looked forward to.
As an added attraction Bull Montana and Al Sparks will wrestle, and those who know him say that Bull alone is worth the price of admission.
All in all it looks like some real hot fire stuff and a crowd that will jam the pavilion is expected.
Bill Darnley will referee.
