NEWS OF FULLERTON
2 OILMEN SUFFER SEVERE INJURIES
Ralph Clever, of Fullerton, a worker in the Brea oil fields, suffered injuries to his shoulder and arm when a cable broke while he was at work last night. The ligaments of the shoulder were torn. He was given surgical attention by Dr. Lang.
Van Bliminger, Brea oilman, who was lifting heavy timber suffered a wrenched back, and was given treatment last evening by Dr. Lang.
Both men are improving.
FAREWELL PARTY TO HUNTERS
At their pretty home in Placentia, Mrs. Henry Tuffree entertained last night in the form of a farewell party for her husband, Mr. Henry Tuffree, and Messrs. Tom McFadden and Nick Hugo, who leave soon on a hunting trip. Five hundred was played, first prize being awarded to Mrs. Tom McFadden and Dr. J. H. Swan, consolations to Tom McFadden and Mrs. Louis Jacobsen. Roses and greenery were used as the color motif. Late in the evening the hostess served light refreshments to Messrs. and Messdames J., H. Swan, B. R. Shinn, Louis Jacobsen, Tom McFadden, C. J. O'Brien, Ralph McFadden, Mrs. L. Mitchell, Mr. Nick Hugo; Mr. H. Tuffree and the hostess, Mrs. Tuffree.
WOMEN'S BIBLE CLASS ELECTS
The executive committee of the Women's Bible Class of the First Christian church of Fullerton yesterday elected officers and made plans for a campaign to raise the biggest women's class in the country, and try later to compete with the Men's Class. Officers were elected as follows: Mrs. J. T. Houser, president; Mrs. C. C. Chapman, secretary; Mrs. Abe Pritchard, treasurer; Mrs. L. C. Kneff, teacher. It is planned to have 100 women present next Sunday.
STARBUCKS ENTERTAIN

George Dayton, La Habra oil worker who has been in the Fullerton hospital for about three weeks taking a treatment for a compound fracture of his leg, has been taken to his home.
James Weaver, an ex-service man who came to Fullerton recently from Yorba Linda, has been named to succeed Dorsey Ellis as secretary of the Fullerton club. Mr. Ellis resigned to enter the employ of the city water department.
A company of Fullerton Shriners went to Balbon last night to attend a social function.
A. H. T. Osborne of the American Fruit Growers' Inc., of Fullerton announced today that the packing house has begun the packing of tomatoes and walnuts.
Mrs. R. L. Ware of Fullerton left yesterday over the Santa Fe for Muscogee, Okla.
H. W. Warburton has returned from his vacation, and has resumed his position as Fullerton agent of the P. E. and S. P. Bert Ray of Redondo Beach occupied his place during his absence.
J. W. Wickersheim received a carload of Fords today.
O. O. Allen, Fullerton oil man, has returned from his vacation which was spent in Oregon, where he killed a 6-point horn buck.
The Fullerton Post of the American Legion will hold its regular weekly meeting Tuesday night.
J. C. Harris and wife have gone to Red Bluff for a two weeks' camping trip.
Miss Bettie Phillips of Los Angeles visited with her friend, Miss Julia Davis, of Fullerton Monday.
Mrs. W. H. Pritz of Ellis Place entertained a number of girls with an informal fancy work party at her home Wednesday evening. Refreshments were served, with sandwiches. The guests included; the Misses Dorothy Dean, Julia Davis, Jewell Dunn, Vera McAllister, Florence Chambers, Mable Blybuck, Helen Neely, Alice Statom, Frances Shepard, and Lorena King.
H. V. Rollins of Brea left yesterday over the Santa Fe for Wichita Falls, Kansas.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Belle of Brea will move into their new home on So. Pomona-st Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ceceroft from Newton, Kansas, are the guests of Mrs. Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. William Starbuck, of So. Higniand-ave., entertained a number of relatives at their home last evening in honor of their niece, Miss Maude Starbuck, who is leaving today for Kerman. Guests included: R. A. Marsden and family, Mr. and Mrs. Busklin and daughter, Barbara, of Glendale, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Starbuck, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Glaze and A. Starbuck of Whittier.
MISSIONARYY SOCIETY YMEETS
The Missionary Society of the Methodist Church met yesterday at the home of Mrs. Wilbur. Reports were read on the convention which took place at the M. E. Church in Los Angeles last week. Tea and cake were served at the close of the meeting and all had a very delightful afternoon.

ENTERTAIN AT DINNER
Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Bixler were host and hostess at a dinner party last night. The dinner was served at 6:30, covers being laid for Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hoffman of Santa Ana, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. May and Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Bixler. Following the dinner, a social hour was spent.
POSTPONE P. T. A. MEETING
The meeting of the Parent-Teachers Association has been postponed until some future date on account of the illness of the president, Mrs. Austin. The first meeting will be announced later.
ALLENS BUY TRAPP HOME
Another important transaction was completed yesterday when Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Allen purchased the home of Mrs. Roy Trapp, in North Nicolas-ave.
The seven or eight-room house and about an acre of ground were included in the deal, the 40 acres of ranch land having been disposed of some months ago by Mrs. Trapp.
Possession is to be given the first of January. The consideration is said to have been something more than $10,000.

BENCHLEY SELLS HOME
E. K. Benchley, president of the Farmers and Merchants national bank, has sold hi beautiful home, 600 North Spadra-ave, to Ernest Gregory, the deal being made by R. S. Gregory.
Exact figures have not been made public but the amount involved is in the neighborhood of $20,000.
Benchley will give possession about Def. 1.
The deal is of importance in more ways than one. It involves the transfer of ownership of one of the best homes in the city and will also probably be followed by more building, as Benchley stated this morning that is making place for a nice 4-flat building at the southeast corner of Poor and Whiting-ave, reserving one or fats for himself.
MASONIC FRATERNITY BUS
The Masonic fraternity were busy at the temple yesterday after and their activities continued until into the night, with an interim for dinner at 6:30 o'clock.
The Master Mason degree wasferred on four candidates.
