BUENA PARK, Sept. 21—(Spl.) The Parent-Teachers Ass'n held a reception for the teachers at the school hall on Tuesday evening. There were 250 parents and children present which was the largest crowd in the history of the P.-T. A. A short program was rendered which included the following numbers: piano solo, Mrs. McNell; address of welcome, Mrs. Ritter; response, Miss Taggner; song, Ruth Bastady; reading, Sarah Muirhead; song, Mildred Johnson; song, Bastady Quartet; Mr. A. E. Smothers had charge of the games and had some interesting ones for both young and old. Refreshments of cake coffee and punch were served. There were 22 new members joined at this meeting and it is hoped that they will attend all the meetings and keep in touch with the school work. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Brown and son Charles spent Sunday at Echo Park, Los Angeles. Mrs. Marsh of Glendale visited with Mrs. D. W. Hasson on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lovett of Long Beach were in town Sunday. La Habra Items LA HABRA, Sept. 22—The Busy Needle workers were the guests of Mrs. Louis Muchow at their pretty ranch home on Central ave, on Thursday. This was the first meeting after the summer vacation and a full attendance of the club personnel marked the occasion. After a pleasantly-spent afternoon the hostess served a dainty coke. Those present were: Mesdames Wester, Crumtine, Frantz, Launer, Leahm, Lutwiller, Channing, Pebody, Hilbert, Bishop, Henden Johnson, Muchow and Miss Pauline Crumtine and Maribel Frantz. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Linsdel and daughter, Ethel, were motor visitors to San Diego this week. They were accompanied by Mrs. Linsdel's mother and sister, from Los Angeles. A visit was made to Tin Junna, Occanside and La Jolla. H. E. Hart, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Launer and Mrs. Little, of La Habra, and Mr. Nune-macher and Gregory, of East Whittier, were visitors at the Walnut Growers' demonstration given under the auspices of the Los Angeles farm bureau, at Puente, Friday. A picnic lunchoon, an interesting address by C.E. Teague and T. Thorpe and an inspection of the largest and most fully-equipped walnut house in the country was part of the program. Orville Espold left Friday for Itaqua, N.Y., where he will enter Cornwall West Coast Lease WEST COAST, Sept. 22—(Spl.) Mr. and Mrs. James and daughter Oleda were Long Beach guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eright's home to a bountiful chicken dinner and everything else to make it complete.
