FULLERTON BRIEFES
J.M.Seale, Fullerton undertaker, who is to be married Sept. 28, is counting the days until that happy event is brot about, and he will lead the belle of La Habra Valley to the altar. Two hundred and fifty invitations have been mailed out by the bride's parents, and "Josh," as he is called, said quite impatiently today: "It's 17 more days."
But, like everyone who is impatient for some event to occur, he unwittingly perhaps placed the time longer than it really is.To break the good news to you, Josh, it's only 15 more days, if you please.
There is a total enrollment in the Fullerton high school of 668 students, and about 150 students in the Junior-College; it was announced today by A.S.Redfern, assistant principal of the Fullerton high school.
This is about 100 more than at the opening of the school last year, it is stated.
Miss Dorothy Porter, bookkeeper in the Standard Bank of Fullerton, has given up her position temporarily in order to attend the So.Branch of the U.S.C.at Los Angeles.

Pine Lumber Ahead of 1920
NEW ORLEANS, Sept.13.-According to reports of the Southern Pine Association,the pine lumber industry is in better shape than it was in 1920.Shipments of 1921 are 43 per cent in excess of shipments in 1920 and orders are 8 per cent in excess of orders of 1920.The pine lumber industry anticipates nationwide activity in building within a few weeks,as soon as settlement of labor difficulties is made in several sections.

CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY
An enjoyable occasion was that of Sunday when Mrs. J. W. Sweet complimented her husband with a dinner party to observe his birthday anniversary. A chicken dinner was served, topped off with ice cream and birthday cake to the following named relatives and friends: Mr. and Mrs. Hetebrink, John Inskip, Mrs. Sarah Schumacher, Mrs. Clate Russell, Fullerton; Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Byland and son, Ben. Huntington Beach; Arthur B. Paschal, Pasadena; Miss Minnie Wischnack, Olive. In the afternoon several other friends came in and refreshments were served, consisting of more ice cream and birthday cake, the latter article a beautiful big-cake covered and trimmed in white. The other guests were Mack Peschal and two sons, of La Habra; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wischnack, Olive, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Timme and son, who, with the honoree and hostess completed a very happy party.
The evening was morrisly passed in dancing and music. Mr. Sweet, who is stationed at the Gray Tract Wells Co., in Villa Park, was the recipient of many useful birthday remembrances. The house was beautifully trimmed with huge bouquets of golden glow.
