W. A. Ross, Lloyd Ross and Charles Hunt left today on a hunting and camping trip in the San Jacinto mountains. They will be gone about a week.
Miss Pay Chapman and Miss Grace Chapman, of Columbus, Ohio, were guests Sunday of Mrs. Charles W. Peters. The ladies were former neighbors in the eastern homes and are happy indeed at the chance of review-in-old times. The Misses Chapman have been touring the coast since August last.
Miss Annie Lawrie of San Diego, who has been staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee J. Brown on No. Lemon-st, while looking after her father's interest here since Aug. 3, will return to her home in San Digeo tomorrow.
Mrs. H. W. Daxter has gone to St. Peter, Minn., called there by the illness of her father.
Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Davis and daughter Marion, visited with friends in Downey Sunday.

Miss Cecile Atherton is back at her post in the First National bank after a vacation spent in a number of short trips.
City Manager O. E. Steward and family have returned from a vacation spent at Long Beach and Santa Monica. At the latter place they attended the Methodist assembly and noted among other Anaheim people in attendance Dr. and Mrs. C. W. Harvey, Mrs. Chas. Thayer, Mrs. Henry Yantz, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. E. Wilkinson, Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Coate and daughter.
Mr. George Dunton was back today after a week's vacation with his family at Catalina.

Mrs. W. J. Liewellyn is home for a few days from Seal Beach, where the family is summering, but will return Thursday for the week-end.
Miss Elsuneth Mang, a patient at the Anaheim sanitarium, is improving nicely from her recent nasal operation.
Mrs. Loren Howe returned Saturday from a two month's visit in Iowa with her daughter, at Storm Lake, and with other relatives and friends in the vicinity.
